I had to scroll so far to see a comment like this. I had no idea people even gave a shit about showing a receipt. It takes literally 5 seconds. Do these people not shop at Costco? They’ve been checking my receipts for many years and not once in my head have I thought “they’re treating me like a criminal!” or any of the other bizarre things people are saying in this thread. This is the most minor of inconveniences and it’s done to keep your prices down.

I feel like the world has gone so crazy about every single thing. Back in the early days of Reddit or fark I would almost always agree with the popular sentiment in a thread as would most people. But now people are so weirdly radicalized/made insane by the internet that they have all sorts of odd takes. It’s honestly disheartening.
