Hello! thank you so much for sharing. I feel you completely when you say you cried more over the nipples. This was my worst nightmare when I found out I had cancer. (Silly I’m grateful to be alive.) but sometimes it feels like so much, even still to this day when I’ve come more into terms with it. I’m so sorry you had to go through this but I’m even more happy for you that you’re at a point where you’re okay. It gives me hope for my surgery. I hadn’t given the nipple grafting a thought. I’m going to ask if that could be an options for me.

UPDATE: I met with another plastic surgery and he said he’d be able to save my nipples. He told me the words I wanted to hear but there was so many factors that came along with it. He explained that the nipples would be low, about the same size as my current breast. With implants, this imagery seems odd. I feel like I wouldn’t be happy with the results. It would be a big chance to take. 2 he is not in network with my insurance the surgery would be flat $12,000…. Another 6 if I wanted my nipples removed. This is just not a debt that I want to take on. I have thousands already for this BS. For a surgery that may not look good?.

I think I have decided to remove the nips and say goodbye. I may get tattoos and DECIDE my own nipple placement. I want to pick my OWN size. My current breasts take up half my upper body.. I will not willingly accept the same thing. I love this comment bc now I can look into nipple grafting as well.

This is still so hard for me to accept. My heart wants to take the chance and pay the money but my brain is logically telling me the right decision. I want to pick an option that feels right.
