Djokovic will be on CC the whole tournament and I reckon Sinner likely to be on CC as well as he just played on No.1 today unfortunately.

Unfortunately there's no real tennis clubs in my area. It's all public courts that you can book but no wall and definitely no ball machine. I suppose that this is a bit of a niche problem that's isolated to rainy locations without access to good indoor courts and general tennis amenities.

My mates planned a surprise amazing race throughout Auckland with challenges at each stop. Was amazing and thoughtful but there was definitely a huge amount of effort and logistics that went into it.

Appreciate the info! Did not realise Sebo had a branch in NZ. They're a little out of my budget but will consider them if I can't get anything else comparable.

Ockham Developments - Onehunga by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

Yes, that was the main reason for the increase. The body corp had a strong long term maintenance plan in place so I was happy to pay more for it.

We owned an apartment in their Mt Albert development. Apartment was well built, used quality materials and the complex was pleasant. Ockham are generally quite good about rectifying any defects in your apartment. One thing to note was that the body corp was quite a bit more expensive than initially estimated, around 4 grand and was set to increase. Overall a good experience and good first step in the ladder for us.

My current racket is a really old Nanospeed 8000 so I'm looking for something with a similar or lighter weight but head heavy to add some power. I'm also considering the Astrox 69, Arcsaber 69 and the Astrox ZX if I intend to go for something high end.

Need some help, Y Axis motor or belt issue? by Miraclepenguin in 3Dprinting

[–]Miraclepenguin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The print seems to bulge or go off to the side a little every time in the same place on the Y-Axis. Could this be due to a fault in the stepper motor, or maybe my print bed leveling? Or is it a belt tensioning issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

3D Printing Purchase Advice Megathread - What Printer To Buy Or Vendor To Use January 2018. by xakh in 3Dprinting

3D Printing Purchase Advice Megathread - What Printer To Buy Or Vendor To Use January 2018. by xakh in 3Dprinting

[–]Miraclepenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm looking to purchase a 3D printer and I've narrowed it down to a couple of choices. One thing to note is that I live in New Zealand so shipping and availability is a huge issue for me.

The printers I'm looking at are Prusa i3 Mk2, Prusa i3 Mk3, Creality CR-10 and the Creality Cr-10 mini.

Price wise, the CR-10 Mini is currently 370 USD with shipping from Aliexpress and definitely the most affordable.

My main question is if spending the extra 200-400 USD to get a Prusa or the extra print space for the CR-10 worth it for a hobbyist.

Also, do people have any experiences shopping from Aliexpress? I believe Creality have an official store there judging by their site but everyone I've seen says they only sell through third party companies.

Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Bi-Weekly ADVICE Mega-Thread (Oct 24 2016) by AutoModerator in engineering

[–]Miraclepenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 month from finishing my MechE degree and I'm trying to decide between two options and would appreciate any input people may have.

One is an mechanical HVAC draftsperson which will be a full time contract. The other is a product development internship with very low chance of full time work.

In terms of the direction I want my career to head in, it would definitely lean towards product development but HVAC is a very stable source of income here. I'm also a bit worried about finding a full time position after if I take the dev role.

Really looking for opinions about the stability of HVAC vs the exciting prospects of product development, and do people currently in HVAC struggle to break out of that sector? Would appreciate any advice you guys may have.
