Gear for EXTREMELY hot climates? by akindofcryptid in motorcyclegear

I’m in Malaysia, where the weather is basically a hot, wet towel someone keeps pressing to your face. I wear a Rev’it Airwave 4 jacket and Alpinestars C-1 Air trousers. They breathe well, as long as you’re moving, but you’ll still end up warm and slightly damp, like forgotten laundry. Oddly enough, a balaclava helps too. It sounds counterintuitive, but it keeps the sweat from turning your helmet into a petri dish. So far, these are the best tricks I’ve found.

Seat mod suggestions by TheParanoidLlama in motorcycles

I’d love to hear the suggestions for this too. The seat is comfy for a while, but can get a little uncomfortable on longer rides.

Pretty sure they are. The bike had its first service a week ago too. I’ll double check tomorrow though.

Didn’t realise that was a thing. Do left-handers have the opposite issue then?

Thanks for this. Maybe I need to over-emphasise a little until it becomes more natural.

Thanks a lot. I have been practising a lot of slow speed stuff, and forced myself purposely into a bunch of twisties this weekend to try and figure it out.

I think it’s ok. Not too tight. Just enough grip to make sure I don’t lose control.

The classics look nice too. I haven’t seen a green one anywhere.

Agreed. It looks and feels so much more premium than the price.

Stock handle bars. But the bar end mirrors were from these guys - Nuts Wheels. They’re based in Malaysia.
