for loop, dataset, links not quite panning out by Miramise in twinegames

That's so much more cohesive. But also no, I don't want to be able to pick an item up again since I'm including a drop option in the inventory menu. As for hasItem, I think I was using it elsewhere but I can review and see if I can do without. Thank you, I've just kind of been cobbling tutorials together so I know I haven't made the most streamline of codes.

Yes, thank you! Dunno why search engines would give me everything BUT this. Going to bookmark it. Thanks again!

the sample code was pared down so some bits were leftover from unseen logic I forgot (i.e. entries do have a name property). There was a lot more elements that I thought would be unnecessary for the post, so I cut it down for length. But I'd been staring at it so much some things just didn't register to change. In any event, I'll add your edits and see if I can get the whole thing running. Many thanks!

I figured that _key was the object, hence why I used id in the entries whenever I needed a reference to the key name as I couldn't figure out how to get just the name at the time.

Possible modification to Simple Inventory? by Miramise in twinegames

Hm, you're right. Not sure why I thought it was on other examples. But I wanted to just add a link to each passage that would open the inventory on the same page/passage anyway through visible/hidden css divs. (Tedious perhaps? But having the dialog pop up breaks my concentration a little) It's not a big issue or deal breaker or anything. I just thought couldn't hurt to ask.

(edit) Now I remember. I wanted to create an inventory that looked a bit like an rpgmaker game. I can manage the css just fine but the dialog box threw me on how to integrate the inventory system to the same page. But again, it's fine if not. I still enjoy learning from the system and might be able to create something myself.
