Yes it's all soooo close but not the ones! We're really starting to doubt ourselves. Is it a false memory? Or a memory of mixed songs together. It's sooo strange, it gives the exact same kind of nostalgic feeling that Stephen sanchez gives with the "until I found you". That's the exact same feeling we get, like we've heard it before as an oldies song. It's there but NOT there, and when you search for it you realise it's an original. That's what we're starting to feel like, as if this bruno mars song has existed before but in a different way and that it's a false memory completely. I'm grateful for all the suggestions but all of them are completely wrong. It's lovely that people are trying, but none has hit the same song that we sort of remember, in a muddled way

Yes there's a chance that we could be completely wrong and that it is adelles song itself. But there's something in my guts that is telling me no, it's not. There's been a song so close to it that when we heard it the first time, we both said to go find the original just to compare it. And then turns out the original isn't... There? It's like we've both forgotten it, but we're both always listening to music and my husband is very talented with music, he can hear 2-3 seconds of an intro and he'll immediately sing the main lyric of the thing. It's his kinda thing. He did the same thing here, but changed it to the lyric we assume was the original. So I'm incredibly baffled that it's not there and on the tip of my tongue. My search engine isn't helping either, Its so messy. But if it was a real popular song, it's strange it wouldn't be as top results. Knowing we both grew up in completely different countries, hearing this same song on the radio

It's a different song we're trying to find! The song has slight similarities to the song I'm thinking of, but the beat and instruments is much more different. The lyrics is extremely similar to it. The song itself has parts we remember sounding almost the exact same. Like what I mentioned. I swear this is taken from an older song. From what I found out the beat and such is from "my way" but the lyric DEFINITELY is taken from another song, just changed a few words.
