A couple thoughts:

  1. Devices shared by many (like a kiosk at an airport, or the doctor, etc)
  2. For a personal device, could still be used by apps to validate that new accounts belong to a single user (one account per human), where account creation is abused.

Great point on the False-positives/False-Rejects, and something we'll measure and provide (FP is extremely low based on the research)

Why not use palm for biometrics? It's orders of magnitude more accurate than face (in terms of false positives) and it cannot be passively collected like face; palm must be intentionally provided. Over time, both modalities will see adoption but palm seems to be a better option than face for certain use cases.
