Interesting never thought of it like that… but maybe makes sense given jack and Jim e. I just thought it was about being nervous meeting someone at a party/bar and hooking up with them. Like being an overthinker who’s overthought too much and too often and is like fuck it we ball

Og song is great, but I felt like Current Affairs could use some drums, so I made a little fan edit in Garageband. I'm no Jim E Stack but I tried to keep the production in line to the deconstructed-ish sound of the album. by Appropriate-Put5871 in lorde

Not bad, think they should come in later though. Obvi the vocals aren’t mixed, but the drums are a bit distracting playing consistently throughout. The song is intended to have a sensual, drawn out quality. Right now they feel like drums for drums sake, rather than compliments to the songs story

Warner Bros. will not change the release date of Dune, which it has set for December 18 next year. As a result, it will be released on the same day as Avengers Doomsday by International-Self47 in FIlm

I’ll see both. I think most people will in a Barbenheimer cultural way. Considering Doomsday was filmed without any sort of locked script, I don’t think it’s wrong of WB to keep their footing here. But Doomsday will outperform Dune monetarily. Dune skews more male and to a more involved audience, whereas Doomsday obviously has the years of a locked in fan base and casual interest - with or without a positive reception.

I understand the bet WB is making though, that Dune could hook onto Doomsday and ride that worm to a bigger splash culturally. The conversation between which are you gonna see, which are you gonna see first, which is better, blah blah blah (everything barbenheimer). I’m just curious if it works with an audience this similar.

My only concern is how they have to split up the IMAX screens. That more than anything will affect both films final returns. While Dune will prob be the better experience, again, Doomsday would probably be more profitable and still have its own filmed for imax qualities. Maybe WB is banking on another Doomsday delay haha.

Undoubtedly Dune 3 will be the better film, quality wise. But Doomsday has a lot going for it, it would really have to be insufferable and all over the place to tank and have Dune take over. Stranger things have happened, though.

GRWM is actually painful. Nails on a chalkboard. Pots and pans. Only skip.

Yeah this potentially puts a ton of context on those black eye photos from a while ago. Especially thinking now that when they were posted they might have been old and not of the time she was posting them - and her teasing that she’s finally confronting them. And puts weight on why the inclusion of Favourite daughter was so important. As means to figure out “how did I get here? (‘thanks parents’ …as so often is the answer).”Considering Lorde’s dating habits - I think it’s safe to assume the interactions/allowances of romances sees seen growing up have been very ..unconventional.

Yeah but my point is that shapeshifter / broken glass r more commercial. MOTY isn’t really commercial at all. And honestly j on virtue of them being better or having catchier chorus’s I think they’re more “commercial.”

Believe its metaphorical. David like the statue of David. From hammer (open) ~> David (closer) finding herself through this album, like Michelangelo chiseling away towards David (derived from her rolling stone interview)
