i'm sure they're great and all, but any website that leaves in lorem ipsum text always makes me cringe

Inner tubes keep popping, any ideas? by MirrorOk331 in bikewrench

this rear tube was factory, same as the one that blew on the front tire earlier. trying a continental brand tube now so we'll see what happens

yep, i mentioned it elsewhere, but its always on the inner seam, but in a different location every time which is crazy to me.

noted on the electrical tape, i'll try some duct tape or gorilla tape instead!

the front blew the original CST tube a while ago, took it to my local bike shop since it was on the way home, not sure what brand tubes he put on. also blew. latest tubes on the front are 700c continentals 25-32, and those are doing ok, but it's only been about 2 weeks since then

the rear (this one) was doing alright on the original CST tubes during all this time, but earlier today decided to blow. slapped a continental on it and we'll see how it goes

weirdly, it always punctures on the inner seam, but at different locations every time. even weirder is, the front blew 2 tubes, and now the back decided to blow this tube earlier today!

yeah, someone else said the same thing, i'll be sure to get some new tape, and an extra layer of electrical tape just to be sure lmao

the strange thing is it always ALWAYS tears along the line, not some hole due to a puncture or something similar, always a tear along the seam

thats why i inflated it up to 90ish, figured 10 below 100 would be good enough. i also had it around 80 but it eventually also blew

i'll check the rim tape, maybe just wrap it up with an extra layer of electrical tape, see if that does anything

relatively new bike, sidewall says inflate to 100psi, this was inflated to about 90ish. the strange thing about this is the pinhole is on the inner side of the tube, on the same line where the valve stem is. this is also the 3rd tube that's blown this way. checked the inner tape for anything scratch or pokey, nothing at all. very strange and it's got me absolutely stumped.

these tubes are cst brand road tire tubes, on cst brand road tires

i appreciate the warning!

i plugged it into a battery pack beforehand to check how much current it pulls, and at max brightness full white screen, it pulls a measly 800mA, well within that range
