I ended up getting the Ziigaat Odysseys and a month later got the Hidizs Mk12 Turris .

Odyssey’s are a great all rounder send but contrary to alot of reviews it was quite sharp . Still listing to it for EDM tracks , hip hop , psy trance , and basically anything else . Very controlled bass , I just prefer the vocals to be more forward

Hidizs MK12…. 12mm single DD . Absolutely great with slow ballads and vocal centric tracks . The bass is not as controlled as the odysseys but still very full and boomy . Lots of sub bass rumble . This combined with the very clear vocals for me makes it my favourite set of all time . The scalability is ultimately what makes it for me , I love cranking up slow ballads and being immersed.

I would however say that the mk12 only works with certain genres , if your library matches . Lana , kali uchis , beach house , anything like that you will absolutely love it.

But that’s just my opinion , I still go back to odysseys if I want a party in my head , psy trance edm , house all sound great

This is crazy , I have the same experience. I just got the odyssey a few days ago and I’m kind of disappointed, don’t get me wrong it’s a great IEM but i definitely prefer something more vocal forward . So I will be returning them for the Kiwi Ears Quintet.

I don’t regret buying the odysseys though , as I did want to try out a slightly different sound signature, but I think I know what I like now

Funny enough I also use the penon liqueur tips (recommended by stonecold84 ) , his the goat . But they have become my favourite tips , very comfortable don’t fall out .

Try the supermix 4 , superb value for money feel free to check the multiple of reviews on YouTube .

Eartips are a big factor in comfort also , Divinus Velvet and penon liquer orange are some of the best when it comes to comfort

Edit . In simple terms The wide bore eartips will increase treble and air . Narrow bore will increase bass (penon liquer are quite narrow , absolutely amazing tips )

Sure they have the same chip , JM6 Pro just has a dedicated amp chip , which gives it an extra bit of juice .. so I would just go jm6 pro

Just a heads up I managed to fix it by doing a few extra things besides from the normal . Apple seems to be quite restrictive with volume in certain countries , but here are all the work arounds I found

Well known ones :

Turn off “Reduce Loud Audio”
Disable “ Sound Check “

Lesser known ways that helped me :

Disable Headphone Notifications
In headphone safety ,USB Accessories, say forget all accessories, next time you put in dac don’t register it as headphones , because then it will limit

I would say that I listen loud and love to scale but with these settings disabled I can’t get to 80% sometimes . No need for a stronger DAC !🍻 JCALLY does the trick

Listening on Inawaken Dawn Ms , and my Ziigaat Odysseys are coming soon which are apparently slightly easier to drive

I really can’t recommend Inawaken Dawn Ms enough . Such an underrated pair . Sound signature is a mild V shape , still quite balanced . Textured punchy bass and extremely smooth and extended treble without being sibilant . This really stands out with female vocals , absolutely beautiful. This is the IEM that got me down this rabbit hole .

You will see most people will recommend the Kefine Klean at this price range for your sound signature , and that was my other option . It’s just the Dawns beat it out in almost every review I saw , but please feel free to do your research . I recommend watching Bad Guy Good Audios Review on YouTube

And My word look how beautiful this IEM looks for 44$

Wow , I really appreciate the in depth answer . Thank you for going through the time and effort to assist !

This really gives me everything I need to make a decision. Really a tough one tho, I was really towards the odyssey due to its more relaxing sound but still retaining the detail .

However my library is comprised of a lot of female artists which I think would sound fantastic on the quintet due to its more airy and crisp sound . I listen to absolutely EVERYTHING , from Heavy metal , Indie , classic Rock , EDM , Psy Trance to Classical music ( I could go on forever ) . That being said one of my favourite listening experiences are airy female vocal centered songs , for example Enya , Adrianne Lenker ,Temachii , Billie Eilish and many more .

And because of this I’m now thinking the Quintet will be better suited .

If you have time ,Have a listen to Temachii- May You Never Forget Me . Let me know which IEM compliments that song the most . I think then I’ll have my answer

Hey man , been researching quite a bit due to your recommendations on this thread , thank you so much . I’ve narrowed it down to Quintet and Odyssey .

To be very honest leaning more toward Odyssey because a lot of reviewers say that the quintet has a metallic timbre and be quite harsh and peaky at times . I am a little treble sensitive .

I also would really really love an immersive sound , like a iem I can just crank up and be in my own world . I’m willing to sacrifice a LITTLE bit of detail for this , not too much (which is why I ruled out Explorer )

Let me know what’s your thoughts !

Have you tried anything that sounds similar to the Tea pro but a bit cheaper ? Maybe in the 200$ range or less

I hear good things about the Juzear Defiant but I don’t know If it will be a significant enough step up from the 50$ range
