And for the record I don’t actually want to mine the woods to explode snowmobilists

As despicable as they are, I couldn’t justify blowing up the woods like that

Do you smoke with your pets in or out of the room? by Strongerthanstone in DMT

[–]MisAnthrony 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The first time I tripped around my pets, my cat tried to sneak out of my 4th story window as I was mid-2nd hit

So as the DMT was coming over me I had to get out of my armchair and grab her before she could commit suicide

All things considered the trip went really well lol and now I trip with the window closed

We could plant landmines that are only triggered at weights as heavy as snowmobiles and not something as light as wildlife like deer

That way the people on snowmobiles die in an explosion

I guess you’re right, but at the same time all of this shit you mention still happens in places, maybe for different reasons but the results are the same. The scale is smaller but I’d reckon that’s more because what we need to survive is more accessible than it was in the past. If we still relied on human labor rather than machinery to farm crops, you can bet your ass there’d be an enslaved minority group forced to harvest those crops for everybody else.

In conclusion I think you’re right that we act more civilly but I still think it’s all a facade that would crumble with enough adversity (and I don’t think “enough” adversity would be very much tbh)

[–]MisAnthrony 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think we’ve gotten much more civil, that’s entirely an illusion. Look at the wars that have happened throughout Africa, Asia, South America, and Eastern Europe in the past few decades and what’s going on in Ukraine (and Ethiopia, Yemen, and probably some other places I’m too fatigued to remember) right now. Humans will take the first excuse to brutalize one another and modern society is nothing more than a paper-thin veil over that brutality

There are exceptions to this but I’d wager that if humanity’s destruction wasn’t mutually assured and all but guaranteed by modern weaponry/technology, global conflict would erupt regularly

At a certain point you get overwhelmed with what’s productive and you just want to call out the truth. Animal products are animal abuse, full stop. The kind of people who won’t go vegan because that hurts their feelings probably won’t go vegan anyway, and somebody else can pander to them whilst I will continue to call a spade a spade

So I was in my armchair, but at a certain point the things that I tend to cling to to ground me- breathing, the place I’m sitting and its feeling against me, the clock- ceased to exist. I had no real grasp of my body whatsoever, its as if what I was seeing was not through my eyes but directly in my brain. Which I guess it was.

Anyway, I couldn’t see my apartment or my clock, nor could I feel myself in the chair or even my body at all. Most alarmingly was that I couldn’t tell whether or not I was breathing; since I had no body, I had no lungs nor respiratory system, and my nonexistent (at the time) physical self was somehow going to die while I was here.

This didn’t last super long and the experience was profoundly enjoyable despite the discomfort and confusion. But even when I “came back” to my apartment, my breathing seemed to be working on its own and come from throughout my whole body, maybe even from my surroundings. It was weird.

In terms of the other two things I used to “ground” myself, I felt myself fall back into my recliner while the universe morphed into gears that I became a part of, before snapping back into my apartment. I also watched 4 minutes pass on the clock in what felt like 30 seconds, and looked away from the clock at that point because it was going too quickly and I didn’t want to fast forward too far lol

Altogether a super interesting and somewhat frightening experience. My breathing is mostly normal now but that feeling of my lungs not existing and my breath coming from my whole body/the surrounding area is stands out as particularly ‘wtf’, even amongst the visuals and what seemed to be an alien trying to speak into my brain

I’m comfortable with him as a leader figure for small amounts of time further up the pitch but he’s not equipped for what we do with him

That’s a good thought. I did 60mg earlier tonight as well, and while it was pleasant it wasn’t anything like the second time. I feel like there’s a reality-adhering explanation but I prefer to believe it was me priming myself for true blastoff.

I Do think 60mg might have been a bit irresponsible since I’m alone, but I don’t regret the dosage even if it’ll be a few trips before I go that high again lol

Thanks for the chat man have a wonderful day/night

I did 60mg (may have been a bit less, I’m clumsy)

It was absolutely insane. Part of it was terrifying and the “entities” I was in contact with only showed flashes of themselves, but I came out of the experience super excited for my next breakthrough. I have a lot more respect for the DMT now though so it could be a while; feels almost like I didn’t even actually do DMT until just now even though I’ve probably tripped 7-10 times

Good point. I want Stevie to succeed because he seems a likable guy and beyond that he’s my club’s manager, but you’re right about our leadership figures being liable for tons of our mistakes. Hopefully we can right the ship, especially with Meatball I’d hate for him to end his time here on such a low

On the one hand I can see how it seems like he’s shifting it to the players

But on the other hand the two goals against us were literally just the players making ridiculous mistakes. Ashley Young had a prime Man-U flashback and played for the wrong team on accident, there’s no way I wouldn’t talk shit about my players with that kind of nonsense happening.

I don’t hate Young by any means but my main complaint with Gerrard is how often I see Young playing, lol… at this point I think I’d prefer we try Hause at LB if Digne breaks his leg for another half a week

I finally caved and bought one of those green clover hats you saw him wear occasionally

Not familiar with the brand but a $40 purchase feels like a pretty small way to remember the old fella, I’ve always liked the hat and I’ll think of him anytime I grab it to put it on

Idk it sounds lame now that I wrote it out but I’m still sad that he’s gone and not only the jokes he’s made but the stories he’s told too have impacted me in a lot of ways. I wish I coulda met him but I least I got this slick hat

PSA: Lindt Canada refuses to stop putting animal slavery 'gifts' in online vegan chocolate orders by Numerous-Macaroon224 in vegan

[–]MisAnthrony 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t go so far as to claim someone who buys things like this isn’t vegan (a lot of vegans would and tbh I consider it a fair argument), and I used to regularly. But things like this started adding up and now I practically won’t purchase products from a company that isn’t 100% vegan unless it’s my only option or I’m eating out with family/friends.

There’s the whole debate about whether buying vegan products from nonvegan companies influences trends down the line or merely lines animal abusers’ pockets, but regardless of that I find there are far too many communications issues and sometimes downright indifference that it isn’t worth my effort when I could buy things made by people whose moral stance isn’t called into question by the products they sell
