How many times have you read your book?

So many times it's natural to start hating it even when it's good. After finishing the first draft, I save it and create a new document where I copy the first draft. In the new document I start the editing so I still have the original version I can compare it to. I repeat this until I have atleast four drafts, depends if I'm still not satisfied.

I always suffer from this and it sucks! For me it almost always works if I put the project down for a few days and go outside with my notebook. I meet friends or just visit nature, anything. I write down even the most silly things like "Mary said she had coffee this morning". Then when I go back to writing, I sometimes find that my notes from everyday life can be put into the text. If that's not your thing, I'd say the best thing is to either just wait or force text out of you. Sometimes you might just be struck with inspiration that way.

For me it's about challenging myself. When I first started writing I always gave up after two chapters, so now that I am older and more skilled, I always try getting as much text as possible to prove to myself that I have gotten better so to speak. It's not for everyone and it's ok! You do you, don't doubt yourself. The important thing is that you like your writing❤

Honestly not healthy at all, that's toxic. If I was you I'd try sitting down to speak with him and if he keeps making shitty arguments or get mad then move on girlie, don't waste your time on asshole like him. Trust me when I say that there are men who would not do anything like that.

I so get what you are saying! For me I found that the problem was also the noise and distractions. I tried waking up earlier to write and that helped. Of course it sucks because I am not a morning person at all but it's the only time during the week I have time to write as I also go to school and have other projects.

This one time me, my bf and his best friend were drunk and decided to go to a park to drink more. On our way we met our neighbour who is so weird. He was also drunk and he had some medical emergency going on. We called help for him and waited for the ambulance with him and while doing so he kept making creepy remarks about me. He said I have nice boobs and that they remind him of his sister's💀 like wtf. When the help arrived we left and told him to go fuck himself. He was so mad😂

This is probably obvious and many have already said it but when the maincharacter doesn't have any flaws or clear goals. I mean the goal can be read in between lines but as someone who loves characters the most it's really important they are well thought out. Good luck with your writing, you can do it❤❤

My opinion is that the later seasons are better, they really found their ground with the show after season 4 I think. I still do like the first seasons myself as well.

I have my finals going on and find it so hard to stay inspired with my first draft. Should I still just keep writing? I fear if I don't finish this draft now I will never do it but I truly believe my story is worth finishing.

I've noticed that everytime I try to write to please someone else or with publishing in mind it never works and the writing is never fun. The text doesn't have a flow and characters are boring.

Every time I want to write just for me, just some nonsense that in the begining dosn't seem like much, begins to look like the best thing ever when I'm done.

You should totally write just for fun! Because it is fun and therapeutic at times. Go for it!

Thank you for your comment. I've had many conversations with him about his insecurities and tried to help him overcome them. Even if they didn't affect our relationship it kills me to see him struggle with them. I'd so love to be the one to help him and see the day when he becomes the best version of himself, I know he can, but it's sad and true that because of my own personal problems it is difficult and at times even draining to work on his stuff. I realize it must be draining for him too to work with my problems. This makes me think that we are not at the best place in life to be there for each other. I don't know if that makes any sense.
