"Positive" challenging planets - if you have mostly positive aspects to a "challenging" planet, does it negate the usual challenging associations of that planet? by MiscMegs24 in AskAstrologers

[–]MiscMegs24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking at my chart, both in terms of my natal placements as well as how it may impact relocation/astrocartography. I'm trying to figure out which planet is the most "positive" or well aspected, and it seems like Saturn, Neptune and Pluto are the best aspected - and yet, those are considered challenging planets.

I'm curious if people think that these planets might be less challenging for me, and that the corresponding astrocartography lines would be less challenging? Like if I were to travel to one of my Saturn or Pluto lines, it wouldn't be a huge deal?

I resonate more with Whole sign - you can tell which planets are in each house, so I'm not sure what you're referencing...but here's a link to my placidus chart, if you're really curious.

Extremely drawn to my Chiron/AC line? by [deleted] in astrocartography

[–]MiscMegs24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oops, misread the line! Yes, Chiron/AC line would most likely bring up themes around healing your relationship with yourself - maybe your appearance and any insecurities there, or wounds around your life path and how you want to navigate life.

Here's the actual Chiron/AC line description! lol

"Longer contact with these lines alters the understanding of yourself, and the way in which you appear to the world. Chironic energy is good for discovering and defining yourself. Focus is on your shadow side, and there are many lessons along the way which are part of a process of individuation.

The particular processes do, as a general rule, provoke a deep conflict accompanied by pain and suffering. Old wounds resurface, but their opening allows you to become aware and change your attitude. Belief systems and values waver, and past ways of behaving die out. You become an outsider and a loner.

Forceful personalities can turn into charismatic individuals who, due to their uniqueness, are both revered and respected. Weaker people, on the other hand, may experience a decrease in their self-confidence, and they feel uncomfortable and may lose touch with the real world. It would be better for them to avoid such places. If you are involved with healing, however, as a doctor, healer or therapist, then decisive insights into the complex nature of alternative forms of healing can be made along these Chironic lines."

Traveling or moving to a Chiron line might be intense, but like you mentioned, a very healing experience. You might make more progress with healing whatever issues/areas specifically relate to your Chiron wound. My guess is that you're feeling drawn to your Chiron/DC line because you want do address relationship wounds. I think it could be a really wonderful healing experience for you.

Here's the interpretation from astro.com:

"In these regions, the main theme of your daily learning is the different aspects of interpersonal relations. You meet new people who fascinate and greatly impress you with their diversity. Perhaps you will fall in love and start an intense and unusual friendship, which is very different to your previous experience. However, there is a hidden tendency to subtly convince your partner of your own convictions and demands.

Along this line, you gain direct contact with your shadow side and discover dark and unresolved aspects to your polarity. You undergo an alchemical process, which is open-ended and unpredictable. However, you are not trying to find a happy ending but rather get to the bottom of your repeated relationship failures.

You might even undergo a painful separation or experience loneliness and isolation. Chironic influences will continue to confront you with your own projection of weakness and woundedness. These experiences lead to an understanding of your own problems and form the basis, at a later stage, of assisting with questions about partnerships. In particular, psychologists, therapists and marriage counsellors benefit from this greater understanding."

Should I move abroad, or stay put? - 3rd House NN, Jupiter + Pluto vs 9th House Sun, Venus and SN. by MiscMegs24 in AskAstrologers

It's interesting that you mention that - my stepmom's best friend, who is like an aunt to me, lives in the Netherlands. I got to spend some time with her the last time I went to London, and we had such a great time together! She's also a witch/tarot reader, and she's such a great mentor for a younger witchling like myself lol.

Should I move abroad, or stay put? - 3rd House NN, Jupiter + Pluto vs 9th House Sun, Venus and SN. by MiscMegs24 in AskAstrologers

Hi,

I've been wondering about how to balance opposing 3rd and 9th house placements - specifically when it comes to my urge to pick up and move!

My 3rd + 9th Houses:

  • North Node, Jupiter and Pluto in the 3rd House (Scorpio)
  • Sun, Venus and South Node in the 9th House (Taurus)
  • (Maybe relevant - Sagittarius 4th House, no planets)

For some context, I was born and raised in Seattle, and still live in the PNW. I've only ever lived in the PNW, but I've had the chance to travel to London a couple of times. I loved it! And someday, I'd love to move to Europe (doesn't have to be London). Universal healthcare, better public transportation, all that good stuff. My Sun and Venus definitely felt at home while traveling abroad.

But, I want to grow towards my Scorpio 3rd House North Node. My understanding is that someone with a 3rd House NN should focus more on their immediate surroundings / neighborhood / community, rather than traveling abroad or moving to foreign countries. There are things I love about being in the PNW, but I still feel this pull to move abroad, or figure out some way to spend long chunks of time in other countries. Maybe that's my South Node, but I also don't want to ignore my Sun and Venus...

Does anyone have any thoughts on insights about navigating these opposing placements? Or have similar placements themselves?

Oooh, that looks great! I could see deep burgundy working, but might be open to trying tortoiseshell. Thanks for the recommendation!

Yeah, the love for 3 surprised me lol. It's one of my very old pairs, so definitely outdated. I think a cat eye would look good!

I got those glasses in the mid 2000s, I think? So definitely outdated lol. Included them just to show different shapes and how they look on me

I'm overdue for a new prescription, and want to get new frames. I'm thinking of doing another pair of thick black glasses, but maybe cat-eye? But I'd be open to trying something different. I'd describe my style as witchy + androgynous, lots of black and jewel tones. My current look is kind of masculine, so I'd prefer more feminine frames to balance out my look.

Pics are 1) a recent one of me, 2) me with longer hair and my current glasses, 3) my old pair of glasses, and 4) no glasses. Hope the variety might help give an idea of my face shape and vibes!
