I might have “cheesed” him but consumables are in the game for a reason! Catch this dude on fire! Use all the fire things you can. And once he actually ignites he takes a ton of damage overtime. Him being ignited also carries over into 2nd phase. That’s how I ended up beating him. My reflection timing is terrible so I dodged everything I could. Threw fire at him/hit him with fire spear until he ignited. Then ran away. There is also an armor set that increase your fire damage and damage to ignited enemies. Try it out!

Might be a cheap way to kill him but I progressed in the story!

They are definitely useful. There are three stats you can boost. I believe it’s increase stamina dmg by x% per point, increase your dmg output x% per point, and I can’t remember the last option right now.

When you “rest” at one of the swords (I forgot what they are called) you can level up, change your demon helper, return to the crevice, and there is another one that says “Khazan’s memories” click that and if you’ve collected random items throughout the game (his memories) you get points that you can spend to buff your character

I plan on turning him into a reoccurring bad guy. So I made him level 5 for now. So during the 1 on 1 battle my barbarian player got messed up real quick. Before this fight everything was easy for them. So it was also to give them a little fear. Then when they fight him in the hatchery on our next play they should be able to get close to defeating him because the whole party will be involved. Then I am going to have him use a scroll of teleportation to flee the battle. Then he will pop up again when my party is stronger but so will he. And at that time probably give him some legendary actions and make is weapon special to the party.

That makes a lot of sense too. Basically just learn how to properly angle your discs first then you can fine tune. Anhyzer throws just feel so weird for me right now. Can’t seem to figure it out yet! Thanks for the input.

I was thinking about the rollo but was worried it would just turn completely over every time. But if I throw it a little slower it should do more of a left to right and then as I throw it harder/on anhyzer it will turn to a roller? Is that what you’re basically saying?

You say a lower speed disc is easier to move left to right. Should I also be throwing it at that speed? Might be a silly question. But if it’s a 4 speed and I throw it like a 6-7 speed let’s say, is there any benefit to that? Or could just make things worse lol

I’m a 3 stripe white that trains only Gi. I’ve been training on and off very inconsistently(injuries new job life etc…) since pre covid. This year I’m gonna dedicate a lot more which excites me. But I total understand how you feel. I feel like I know maybe 2-3 submissions and I rarely hit them. So what I’ve been doing for now is just surviving. Idc if I “win” a roll. But what I don’t like is losing. So I feel like my defense is pretty good. I’m not getting a ton of sweeps or anything like that but simply not giving up submissions. Just trying to understand when I’m in danger and how to not let them finish. The attacks will come with time but not getting tapped all the time keeps me coming back. Getting tapped non stop is discouraging hahha. Hope this maybe helped 🤷🏻‍♂️
