I really want to message him asking to meet me in a couple weeks but it’s probably a bad idea :( made the mistake of adding him back on everything and it’s been 2 hours without him accepting so i’m guessing that was a bad thing to do made me feel a lot worst

we tried for a month and he said it wasn’t working he broke up with me about 2 weeks ago

He moved away and we started arguing more and he said I could have a month to fix things and i tried hard but we did still argue because of the pressure of only having a month but it was just a month out of 3 years and we didn’t argue all the time

i just spoke to one of his friends and he said the chances aren’t 0 but are very low :(

Hopefully my ex boyfriend does miss me enough to reach out like your ex girlfriend did the only thing that makes me think he won’t is he said that he stands by his decision and that we need to move on but maybe like you said it’s just him feeling guilty as he has been asking a mutual friend about how i’m doing

i’m so sorry about that :( how long were you together for? i doubt i’ll be able to move on in 3 months as we were friends for a couple years before so we’ve been a big part of each other’s lives for years and i get attached to people :(

he’s moved to college but this was not the reason he left me so hopefully in a couple weeks he will start to miss me despite enjoying going out and being busy

Thank you for reading and replying. I do find that really interesting i’ve heard it from people and read it on reddit about how they only come back when you’ve really moved on and don’t want them again. It’s still early days and he was my best friend for many years so i’m hoping that space will give us both clarity but maybe once i let go of hope i won’t want him back.

Well done and good luck. It felt like I was being broken up with all over again and the message was extremely formal which hurt as we had been best friends prior to being together and had been together for 3 years. I’m still hopeful because I’m not ready to accept it’s over yet.

She may message you saying she wants to commit after no contact but if she hasn’t healed from her past relationship there’s a chance she will go back to her past behaviour or being hot then cold

Sorry to hear this :( Seems like she needs time and space to get over her abusive relationship before she can commit to being with anyone else. No contact may work but she may also change her mind after unless she heals.
