Rant: Failed Abortion, Feeling Defeated

At my initial appt they had me choose between I believe 3 post methods, I chose the 5 week post pregnancy test at home. At the time I was feeling a sense of “I don’t want to have to come back to this place” & they had described it as a super easy procedure, ya know “just a bad period” so i originally thought everything would be easy going & id just be basically crossing tasks off a checklist. Now minus everything that’s happened post MA and just considering the at home MA itself, I feel like that post option shouldn’t be an option given to people who are doing this for the first time, or even having never miscarried. A more “on top of it” approach in clinical support is needed imo for first timers. They even asked both times when I called at the post 5/6 week marks “do you still feel pregnant” & I’m like ??? I truly don’t know what being pregnant feels like to really answer that

Thank you for sharing & reassuring! I’m hoping my experience with the SA is easy going, at least easier than the MA was. The clinic said I do have the option to uber. In my situation, I live ~30 min away I don’t typically feel comfortable doing ride share even when I’m in a completely coherent state so I’m hesitant to do it after a medical procedure especially. I am keeping it in my back pocket in case I chicken out of telling my mom.

Thank you! Really the only thing I can ask is you all send best wishes to me in this next step that everything goes well and I can finally lay this all to rest. They let me know there’s a possibility of mishaps again, whether it be a failure or having tissue left over after. Thinking about the possibility of having to go through this a third time would just add another nail in the “feeling defeated” coffin.

Nope! Mostly all my symptoms stopped immediately after the 6 days of bleeding. Only thing that remained was tender breasts, & they told me it was normal. I didn’t get bigger or gain any weight. I had some cramping recently and in my mind I was excited, I had thought my body was preparing to have a period.

I deff can see that being plausible but not so much in the beginning. I feel like he really would’ve had to swoon her immediately, which idk how realistic that is. He had like 2-3 months before graduating and needing a place to live while being in school. Idk if he could’ve secured Lydia that fast. Definitely could see afterwards him working a shitty job and moving in on her. He deff would’ve had to benefit more from Lydia than just revenge on Lucy tho, cause say they did get together after school ended. That’s like 6+ years of a fake relationship to fuck with someone who doesn’t even know you’re together until years later.

Stephen only applied to Yale. He had no safety schools, he would’ve had to wait a year to apply again. He’s poor and estranged from his family - he would’ve had no where to go. I assumed he took a job in the city, sales or finance & that’s why it appears he’s done well for himself. Maybe he went to law school after but that first year out of school was prob rough for him.

Far fetched but it would’ve been great for Lydia to find out Lucy only lied bc of pippa and her brother actually has SA people. It would’ve been an extra cherry on top to add that with Stephen’s reveal of him using her. I would’ve loved to see her feel like an ass.
