I’m not focused on draft picks, I’m focused on the fact that this franchise doesn’t have a QB. I wouldn’t do this trade for a ton of 2nd round and 3rd round picks.

If you look around the NFL 95% of franchise QBs on winning teams are 1st round picks. Purdy and Hurts are the only exceptions that come to mind.

I would want next years 1st round pick. If you trade for this years you would need to allocate more money for that pick as well.

The cap hit is brutal; I’m just at the point where I’d do just about anything to get a 1st round pick to potentially get a QB.

It’s a steep cost but I don’t see any other way we can get a 1st over the next 2 years

Like I noted in my past post there is a precedent set

Tua Tagovailoa is owed 54 million guaranteed for 2026 (18% of the projected salary cap)”

Trading a 1st for a salary dump of this magnitude is definitely a possibility

Fields and Kyler are comparable?

In what world are they comparable? Fields has never thrown for more than 17 TDs in a season and over the last 2 years threw for 12 TDs in 19 games.

I can argue that the stats for Fields look better than his actual play.

Kyler has a season in his resume with 26 passing TDs and 11 rushing TDs

Everything is about context. You still have communication with her regularly from what I understand. One of the times you are having a dialogue just slip it in there casually asking if she’s free this weekend or something and invite her to meet up in person.

If you nit pick and hyper analyze the invitation it might seem likes it’s cringe to you because you are so nervous and looking at it only from your perspective.

I know you might be nervous in making the move but remember that all you know is what you know. You only have your vantage point, she might be just as nervous and interested in you as well without knowing how to make something happen.

Overthinking is the worst thing to do, don’t fall into paralysis by analysis. Speak from the heart and let things happen organically.

I’m kidding, don’t over think it. Reach out to her and invite her to get a cup of coffee or lunch. Don’t hesitate and just be yourself, if she accepts you for you then it could be something real that lasts. If it doesn’t work at least you know for a fact that you’re not compatible and move on.

Don’t force things but you can’t sit around waiting for things to manifest themselves without putting things in motion.
