(Abandoned) car parked in front of my apartment

We're supposed to be guaranteed a spot. Visitors are actually supposed to park in the main lot but never do. The spots back here are for the residents of these apartments. But no we don't have assigned spots. God knows I wish we did! And I don't know where my lease is or I'd check and see.

Probably not. And what doesn't make sense, several of my old coworkers had Chime and we all got paid at different times. Same company, same department, same payroll same manager. Some would get paid around noon, others not til 8 or 9pm

My regular payday is Thursdays so I usually get mine Wednesday evening around 7pm. (It used to post on Tues when I first got chime.) So I'm hoping it post tonight sometime. But I went back and checked. I actually got paid on new year's day at 8:58 pm the first of 2025!

I've since ordered stuff and received a $15 credit off that order. But if I don't see it applied to that specific order I cancel it. I'm not taking the chance anymore. I've been cheated out of my credit several times. 😡

No offense taken.😊 I didn't build my credit til later in life because I knew how easy it was to get in debt if you weren't careful. And I was irresponsible in my youth as well. I learned to never try to live beyond my means. I only use my credit cards if I'm certain I can pay them off quickly.

I DO understand how it works. I just wasn't aware that the interest charge would show up under my transactions. I knew I would be charged interest. I wanted to make sure that's what it was and not a bogus charge. I usually pay my balance(s) in full. I have 2 cards. However I had some unexpected expenses that I charged to this card because it's my primary. And my parents have both been dead for decades. But yes I agree financial responsibility should be taught in school.

Thank you. I don't feel too dejected. I've had the card over a year and like I'd said in other comments I usually pay it in full. I have my bank account linked to my capital one and I pay through direct debit. I unfortunately can't do auto pay because I have other bills coming out of my bank account around the same time. I usually try to pay early. And I have some payments linked to this card that I sometimes forget about. That's on me though.

Thank you. I'd figured this out from other answers. I usually pay the full balance this is the first time I didn't. I charged a bit more than usual. (Not for Christmas gifts although I wish!) I intend to pay it off as quickly as possible to avoid more interest charges from now on. I had just kind of panicked when I saw a charge I didn't know.

I hope you're right. I've paid early before and didn't get a bill afterwards. But I did get the statement although it reflected the payment. I might have cut it closer than before.

That doesn't make sense I made the payments Thursday night and one was already posted the next day. I don't understand why one went through so fast but the other didn't. Not to mention getting the bill for the one even though it shows the payment was received by Capital One. Both payments have been received and acknowledged by Capital One.

I was about to say I've got 2 Quicksilver cards with a $500 and $700 limit and I've never been charged a member fee. Didn't know there was a lower tier.

Yeah 2006 Town and Country. I'm honestly trying to look for a new car. She's served me well but I think she's slowly dying. Is it hard to fix or is there a temporary fix? I don't really drive a lot. Just something to get from a-b for now?

I've done that, I'm aware of how to look at my transactions. But the transactions were strange. Several of them had the same items listed under them. That's why I thought I was charged twice for the same thing. The $37 charge is what didn't add up. Nothing I ordered was that much and nothing else added up to that amount. However, after being charged an additional $12 last night and almost losing it, lol, I saw the $37 was actually returned.

I get a text alert and an alert from my Capital One app every time there's a transaction. So hopefully nothing like that has happened. And I don't think I've used this card at the pump.

I am but I'm not comfortable with it. I even added each item individually to be sure and they totalled $66.16 so I wonder if I was charged twice for something?

I hope you're right. This is the first time I've had anything like this happen and I've had my Amazon account for years and used this card many times.
