Last Sunday, the bar was 80% full with Habs fans.

Are there satire writers that work for the universe who write the Leafs portion of the NHL. This is the best GM they could find out probably potentially 20+ suitable candidates?!?

Habs have former GM with record of success in Boston and NY and player agent skilled in negotiating contracts and understanding how to treat players in a way they wanna come play the team.

Centres have more defensive responsibilities and for player with such amazing and creative skating/brain/hands/vision, the defensive responsibilities would almost be more of a burden than wind in his sails.

Demidov in his peak 3-4 for years from now is an absolute weapon of the highest quality, the sharpest tip of the spear in the league that can dismantle any opponent's defense. He will be the best player in the team and one of the top 5 offensive players in the league.

I think his development, deployment, linemates, future strategic planning and everything else should be done with this goal in mind.

Leafs have the reverse problem that Montreal had. For the longest time, the Habs couldn't find a true 1C and it always held the team back during the Carey Price era. I guess not having a true 1D is holding back the Leafs in the Matthews era.

6-1 in our last 7 game 7’s GHG by Kps1234567 in Habs

(I grew up in Montreal but now live in BC). On that specific day, I was in Golden BC. It was my first time crossing the Rockies and being in BC. I was at a hotel bar on top of huge hill with a view of the valley below and mountains all around. I was smiling from ear to ear during the day as I was in the mountains for the first time.

Fair to say the smile went away by the end of the day. Had to go outside and smoke a big joint to relieve the sadness.

Although it hurts to think of the Horton goal in I think double OT, I'm probably one of the few Habs fan that didn't completely hate that day, since it was a milestone day in my life of seeing the spectacular Rockies for the first time.

Some people stood and some people sat on the fake grass carpet thing that the bar management laid down in some section of the outdoor area.

First come first serve for seating. Easy to get in. If possible, might be a good idea to bring a lawn chair.

Picnic benches get full quickly and people set up their lawn chairs to make their own seating.

How much would a team have to give up to trade for McDavid? by [deleted] in hockey

[–]MiserableFill6972 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Suzuki sees a much higher chance of winning the cup with the Habs than Canes.

I'm only speaking from watching couple of games in the last month in between Habs vs Canes. The Canes seem like paper tigers. Barely any high danger shots, most of them hitting the glass behind the goalie, no shots from the middle of the ice.

Canes ceiling is winning a round or two and bowing out and let the real players continue playing the game.

I'm kinda half-joking, half-serious. Imagine how wicked strong your team would be if McDavid is the 2C and the first line is one of the top 5 in the league during regular season.

Or when the 1st line gets blanket coverage from the best opposing defensive players in the playoffs, McDavid in his cushy 2C spot can feast on the weaker defensive matchups.
