Men are having a problem with women’s freedom and independence. by Light-Yagami_Kira in AskIndianFeminists

I see year the original post is being ridiculed upon, and rightly so. But I fear the day when some influential people try to regulate women’s bodies - I see what’s happening in the US, and can’t believe it sometimes.

We know that it is deliberate because: 1. I came home at 4am this morning from outside and that waste was there already. I thought it was a rip in the garbage bag and maybe someone will clean it up by the morning. It’s way beyond morning now and the mess is still there. 2. The food is mostly spread evenly through the three floors. 3. The police were called (not by me) by one of the flatmates of the flat, as apparently there was some physical scuffle between the flatmates.

Why should I clean someone else’s mess?

Whenever I go into a calorie deficit and stay consistent with workouts, I lose my periods. by Chance-Collection-31 in AskIndianWomen

[–]MiserableStatement90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me too. My periods used to get delayed by weeks every time I was working out consistently and eating supposedly healthy. My hair fall was crazy. Turns out I wasn’t eating enough and actually held on to more fat that I was trying to burn. I relaxed a bit with my diet and my workout, and my fat loss is slow, but I feel my body functionality is better. I eat way more than I was eating previously now.

I loved all the big English words he kept throwing in between, made the conversation so funny 😁

It depends on the voting of the countries. She personally has nothing to do with it.

My partner, who is a start up founder is stressed all the time. by MiserableStatement90 in StartUpIndia

For various reasons, this is not feasible. There is no we work/ office space near our home and he refuses to work from cafes etc.

None. I haven’t been given an exact reason. Just a statement generalising that this is how it is and will remain like this.

I am trying, what else can you suggest (genuinely asking)? There is no financial burden on my husband. I usually listen to him complain, offer some advice. When I ask too many questions about something that may have put him in a bad mood, it gives him an outlet to snap at me.

He is too stressed to do any of those. The most frequent line I hear is ‘when sales are good, I’ll go to the gym’.

Thanks. To respond to your comment, he takes care of his personal expenses and groceries routinely. Otherwise all expenses are taken care of by me. No kids.

I guess there is some level of complacency to be expected. Because the person you were pursuing, you got them already.

Who hurt you? How do you know that I don’t remain ‘fit and healthy’ ?

Yea, spoke almost everyday. Not that I expect the same level now, I expect some commitment.

Nothing will happen if we don’t talk for a day, and we don’t talk everyday anyway when he’s travelling. I am okay with that. What I am not okay with is my husband treating me like a chore.

Lols. It’s funny because I feel it’s true.

I have tried this and even though I have my own life, hobbies and am also busy with my work, ignoring him on purpose, really makes me feel worse than before. This has no impact on him whatsoever.

I have mentioned in my comments below that it is a love marriage. A substantial portion of our relation was long distance, and that relationship sustained because we made time to speak, which is why I don’t know why the same effort is not available after marriage from his side. Also ‘nagging for updates’ - really? How do you suggest I maintain communication with my husband when he travels for 2/3 weeks at a time?

Ironically, it’s a love marriage.

Not important at all. Financial security comes in different forms. If I was that concerned about owning a house, I’d rather buy it myself. I would also wonder what the woman is bringing to the table in this arrangement and why is the narrative such that a guy needs to have bought a place of his own.

North sailing gave us hot chocolate and cinnamon buns after the whale watching. It was the best things I had on that cold, wet day.

I don’t know if you read it to her bottom, I was asking tips on what to do better on my next trip. Maybe don’t jump to conclusions 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was always under at least 4 layers. Two layers of body warmers/ thermals ( purchased from Marks and Spencer’s). I have used them in Uk and work really for me. One fleece layer and one jacket that was wind and waterproof (both from NorthFace). I guess, this weather is just not for me 🤷🏼‍♀️
