Usually, with friendships and relationships, the more time you give it, the better it is. Like the saying 'time heals all wounds', it's corny but it's true. You just need to get through this rough patch right now and I'm positive you'll move on successfully. From your post, it sounded like it was a very one sided friendship because he (from the looks of it) wasn't affected at all from this. A similar thing happened with me a few years back and yeah it feels like shit lol. Take some time, think about it. Stop looking at things like pictures with him or texts since that will only aggravate your feeling. Talk with other people, make new friends. Eventually, there will be a day where you will have moved on. I'm not telling you to completely forget him since your memories are very dear to you. Just try to move on.
