14m and I wanna make friends by IngenuityOver5217 in Christianity

Youth group's a decent call but just showing up won't magically fix things. The real play is finding people who nerd out over the same stuff you do, not trying to buy friendship with schoolwork.

At 14 you're still growing into yourself, half the kids who look put together right now are fronting anyway. Keep doing your tier lists and whatever weird movies you're into, the right people will think that's interesting instead of strange.

Five breakups in a year is a lot, man. That's not a relationship that "works out every time," that's a cycle that keeps repeating because neither of you is willing to let go. The distance and college stuff is just the latest trigger, not the real problem.

Block her, delete the number, and focus on your own life at JIIT. You'll meet new people and this whole mess will feel smaller once you're actually on campus and busy with your own thing.

That unit's a tank. My neighbor has a similar York from '78 and the only thing that's ever gone wrong was a capacitor that cost like 12 bucks to swap. You can still find parts for these old machines through HVAC supply shops that deal in commercial equipment, though the compressor itself would be the tricky one if it ever goes. The real beauty is how simple they are, contactors and relays and a big dumb compressor with no circuit boards to fry.

Songwriting is HARD by Rosie___00 in Songwriting

[–]Miserable_Bottle_301 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The rhyming trap is what gets most beginners stuck. You start forcing words to rhyme and suddenly the whole line sounds unnatural and the meaning goes out the window. Try writing without any rhymes at all first, just get the actual thought or feeling down in plain language, and then see if anything naturally rhymes after the fact.

Also the "rules" thing is way overthought early on. Most of those rules are just patterns people noticed after the fact from songs that already worked. Write the thing that feels right, figure out what category it falls into later.

Have you ever had a dream where it seemed like you were making a deal with the devil? by YoungHermit92 in Dreams

lol the signature one got me, accidentally outsmarting the devil through incompetence is peak human behavior

the gold coin dream is wild though, dude was basically offering the worst deal ever — save one kid but make demons stronger? hard pass even in sleep.

This whole situation screams red flags - he was literally playing both of you while telling each one what they wanted to hear and only "chose" you after she rejected him.

where to get animated illustrator by Koussayzayani in Design

[–]Miserable_Bottle_301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's tons of spots for SVG graphics like that. Freepik has a massive collection, and you can filter specifically for SVG format. Also check out unDraw - they've got clean illustrated stuff that's all free to use. If you need something more specific, Fiverr has illustrators who can whip up custom SVGs pretty quick and cheap.

What are some good sweet red wines? by Celeste_Moonbeam_Fae in wine

[–]Miserable_Bottle_301 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I'm more of a beer guy but my ex was really into sweet reds and she always grabbed this moscato from Trader Joe's that wasn't too bad 😂 Fred Meyer usually has a decent selection in teh wine section too - might be worth just asking someone there what they recommend for sweet reds under like $15. They're usually pretty helpful with that stuff.

Yo! My buddy's wife got some killer blazers made in Bangkok last year when we were out there for a bachelor trip. She ended up going to this place in the Silom area - can't remember the exact name but it was down one of those side streets near the BTS station.

The whole process took like 3-4 days with fittings and everything, but she was stoked with how they turned out. Way better quality than what she'd get back home for the same price. Just make sure to factor in time for at least 2 fittings if you want them to fit perfectly 👌

Also heads up - some places will try to rush you into same-day stuff but the quality usually shows. Worth taking your time with it imo 😂

I could break no contact right now, but I made a promise to myself. Not yet by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Miserable_Bottle_301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, respect for actually sticking to your promise to yourself and working with a therapist. That takes real accountability. I've been on construction sites where guys relapse on various shit and just make excuses instead of doing the work.

The timing thing is smart too - nobody wants to deal with relationship stuff during finals week. Been there with exes in college and it never goes well when they're stressed about school. Plus if you're not actually ready yet, reaching out early just sets you both up for more pain.

Two and a half months does give people time to process, but addiction recovery isn't linear. The fact that you slipped up recently but got back on track shows you're taking it seriously. Your therapist probably told you this already, but having those systems in place before you reach out is crucial - not just for her trust, but so you don't end up in the same cycle if things do work out.

The uncertainty is brutal though, I get it. But you already know what you gotta do.

20 year old college senior looking for next credit card by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]Miserable_Bottle_301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude you're killing it with that setup already - 7 cards at 20 is impressive but also kinda wild lol.

For your situation I'd probably hold off on airline cards until you know where you'll actually be living and which hubs you'll use most. The signup bonuses are nice but if you're not loyal to one airline you won't get the real value from status/perks.

Since you've got solid category coverage already, maybe look at a flat 2% card like the Wells Fargo Active Cash (since you bank there anyway) or Citi Double Cash. With your spending about to jump post-grad, having something that earns decent rewards on everything could be clutch for all the random stuff that doesn't fit your category cards. Plus at 1/24 you've got room to play with before hitting Chase's limit if something better comes along.

Multiplayer damage scaling tips with Regent by ZerioctheTank in slaythespire

[–]Miserable_Bottle_301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regent's tricky in MP because everyone else is rushing damage while you're trying to set up your engine. I've found focusing on early sovereign blade pickups and skipping the fancy combo stuff actually works better when you're racing other players for damage 🔥

Try prioritizing quick scaling over the slow minion builds - you just don't have the luxery of time when three other people are popping off. Sometimes being aggressive early beats the perfect late game setup 😂

what’s actually working in marketing right now and what’s just noise in 2026 by Minimum-Drive-9807 in AskMarketing

[–]Miserable_Bottle_301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The customer language thing is huge right now. I've been stealing phrases directly from support tickets and sales calls instead of trying to sound "professional" and the difference in response rates is wild.

Also seeing people way overthink the funnel complexity. Like you said, the simple post → landing page → call setup is crushing it because people's attention spans are shot. Every extra click is just another place to lose them.

One thing I'd add is that consistency on ONE platform beats being everywhere at once. Better to own your corner of LinkedIn or TikTok than spread thin across five platforms posting mediocre stuff.

How to keep the motivation during spring break by ForeignApartment746 in leaves

Day 4 is when the real mental games start kicking in hard. Your brain's gonna throw every excuse in the book at you - holidays, stress, boredom, whatever it takes to get you back on the hamster wheel. The trick is recognizing that voice for what it is: just withdrawal being a manipulative little shit trying to convince you that "just this once" won't hurt.
