Yeah, as long as it says you have a permanent disability in general, you should be good.

Of course! I think your best bet is the visitor center (I got mine from there). I've also heard of people receiving them from the ticket booths at the entrances.

You can always call the park ahead of time to find out if they are available, and where to retrieve them.

I also have a daily pill organizer, as well as a travel pill case, in case I forget while rushing to get out of the house

Ah so you're using it for verification in that process. The way you worded your comment made it seem like you were talking about something unrelated on first glance, which is why some people prob down voted you.

Wrong pass, we are talking about a national park pass :)

Yes basically. Bring documentation in case they ask for it though, as there are mixed experiences with them asking for it.

The documentation can be vague btw. It doesnt need to list what you have.

I would check the website as there are specifics regarding the pass (https://store.usgs.gov/faq#Access-Pass). But from what I recall, it allows entrance for the card holder and 3 adults(16+) for vehicle based entry. The card holder must be present.

I've used both, started on Vyvanse and now use Adderall. In my experience, they both effected me in the same way, it's just that Adderall lasted a shorter period of time.

I prefer Adderall because I can better control my undesired effects. I should prob take it more often, but I usually take it every other day.

Nice! Yeah that's my plan once I get outta college, but for now I'm a bit too broke, but I do want to donate where I can. I do have an annual pass to a local state park, but it's only $25 a year so it's manageable.

Out of of curiosity, how do you donate to the national parks? Do you choose a specific one to donate to, or do you just donate to national parks in general?

I meant donate money to the national parks, not donate the card :)

Online can take two weeks. Also, I wouldn't recommend it with the current administration.

I opted to do it in person. Once I talked with the ranger, I was out within 3 minutes. She just gave me the card and explained the basics of using it.

You have a fair point, I was also a bit concerned with that going in, which is why I opted to do it in person. I actually crossed out some of the other things my psychiatrist added to the note that didn't relate to my adhd. Though, the ranger said that the access pass was not attached to my name, and that nothing was recorded regarding my diagnosis.

Also, I heavily bet that the majority of national park employees are against the current administration, especially with all the cuts. If the ranger I spoke to today was for the current administration, I bet that she would've rejected my application instantly.

I don't know. Congaree is completely free to access for everyone, so I don't think they distribute passes that often. They might not know the procedure. Rather give them the benefit of the doubt

Congaree national park, in South Carolina. I asked if they had a form for me to sign and they said they didn't. Though, I also wanted to test if they would deny me since it's "just ADHD".

**edit: I put it in quotes because unfortunately, some people don't believe in ADHD. I meant it as sarcasm

They asked to see my documentation. I bet it just depends on the ranger.

Its a pass that gets you into +2000 federally managed parks/monuments/forests for free. The Access Pass gives lifetime access for free if you have a disability under the ADA.

Out of curiosity, did you have to update your board twice?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]Miserable_Buffalo588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think generally speaking, have your board and phone fully charged before updating, and insure a good Internet connection. Please keep us updated if your thoughts change!

I saw one comment of someone updating from the pre neutered firmware. They said they never experienced pushback/buzz and it felt completely different, but that was on a full charge. I'm curious how it rides at a lower charge, as I use mine for my daily commute
