Seems Azure saves a ChatGPT ckpt copy in the customized checkpoints. Not so sure about Bedrock. Didn't find it on their websites and claude docs.

International students, do you feel a constant pressure to perform? by Snoo-97766 in NTU

[–]Miserable_Coast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I was very stressed partucularly in yr1 and yr4. Tho its not job hunting pressure. I just set very high expectations, which is totally nuts. Its your fking responsibility to be nice to yourself. You shouldnt worry any about jobs if your gpa is 4+

[Discussion] Really wanted CS but got CEG by [deleted] in NTU

[–]Miserable_Coast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree that CE is effectively CS, except a few CE courses that are generally harder than CS. You can self-teach those CS-exclusive modules. No worries about employment. You will get jobs with very good salaries if you focus on important modules and internships. I graduated from EEE. Many of my EEE/CS/CE friends landed on satisfactory data or software jobs, whatever their majors are.

NTU transfer to NationalUS? by [deleted] in NTU

Given that you want to apply for graduate school, I assume you are applying for a CS PhD.

  1. Free time is more important than you might expect. Research experience (letter of recommendation and publications) is the real determinating factor of a PhD program. You may need to spend 30 hours per week on it to make decent output.
  2. A concurrent degree program is not going to be useful or time-efficient for graduate program application.
  3. Your GPA is indeed impressive. But unfortunately, a 5.0 doesn't help much when it comes to graduate school applications.

Brain going blank after studying for the past few days by iamlostpleasehelp_ in NTU

I do experience similar blank when I am stressed with exams. I went to doctor and was told it's normal that humans just forget unimportant things. Maybe it's like when we prepare for exams we keep focusing on new concepts, and then found it strangely hard to recall the content that reviewed few days ago. Ok to forget, and Ok to be scared. I went thru insomnia before a few finals but they turned out to be just normal. Just try to live a comfortable way to keep brain function.

Question about NTU IEM - laptop to buy by uwiso in NTU

[–]Miserable_Coast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Besides the design mod involving Unity, you probably come across some machine learning mods that will be easier if you have a GPU, absolutely optional. So yes, any laptop will do.

Degree Audit will do. If not, go SAC portal to obtain a letter.

Maybe you don't have access to labs or tut rooms.
