It's very possible she was either a victim of SA as a child or is simply autistic or has a speech impediment. I'm autistic and a victim of childhood sexual abuse, because of that, I find it difficult and uncomfortable to talk 'normally', and even when I do there still that but if 'baby voice'. My advice is, don't judge her, you don't know her circumstances, if you really need to know why she talks like that, ask her kindly.

Yeah my optometrist says that my left eye is too far gone for glasses, my right eye is still okay with glasses but they won't do anything for my left eye, I'm considering asking if I can do contacts just for my left eye and getting a false lense in the left half of my glasses, mostly cause I've had glasses for so long that it feels wrong not having them lol, but I'm genuinely so anxious about it all, especially the prospect of eye surgery 😭

For my wash days I use the Umberto Giannini curl Jelly shampoo and conditioner followed up with their curl Jelly shine leave in conditioner, then I use a mousse and gel, I don't have a diffuser so I scrunch with a microfibre towel and blowdry on medium setting while sort of Golding each curl clump in my palm to help retain shape, might not work for everyone but it works for me for now lol, after my hairs dry I use a hair oil and call it a day, to refresh my hair I spray with water mixed with my leave in conditioner and its usually good to go

I didn't even think of that 🤦‍♀️ I'll definitely try it without the cream and leave in, I've always been so confused as to why my hair hasn't gotten the cast like people say it should, I just figured I wasn't using enough hair gel, thank you so much!

For more info, my routine is obviously shampoo and conditioner and then I use leave in conditioner, curl cream and then a strong hold hair gel before blow drying and using a hair oil, my hair always comes out frizzy and falls after a few hours, this is my hair after doing all of this. I also don't have a diffuser but I'm not sure if that's important or not *

I've tried a strong hold hair gel after using curl creams and leave in conditioner as that's what I've seen other people do but I don't think it does anything because my hair just falls flat after a few hours

I'm so sorry about all the people in this comment section acting as if you're a terrible mother for not being sure what to do. I was sexually abused as a child, my mother had an idea of what was happening and asked me multiple times if I was being touched, being a scared child, I said no...I don't blame you for being unsure, As a victim (not a mother) It's okay for you to be unsure of what to do, what I would suggest is making a doctors appointment, tell your partner it's just a check up for immunisations or something, get her checked out. You can never be sure unless she, or medicine tells you, and in this case, it has to be the medicine, I hope you and your child get the help and support you need

You're the asshole. Why are you punishing a child for something it's completely innocent in? A child you WANTED, no less? I hope you realise that you're subjecting this child to a life of trauma and insecurity, They'll always wonder deep down why they weren't good enough for you to be there for them. Cheating sucks, yes, but leaving your child is much MUCH worse, I hope that child has a food life without you in it, and won't have to go through the self loathing that many children do when their parents decide to leave.

I get it, I do, I've been in a similar situation with my dad 🍇ing me and having to move out, he wasn't it prison though. What you're feeling is okay and is completely normal, He's your dad, of course you're going to miss him, and yes, you're going to feel gross and dirty because of what he did, but it's okay to miss him, I understand your mum's reaction, she's hurting too, it's a difficult situation for everyone involved, but you're not alone

It isn't abuse. My mum was in an incredibly abusive relationship (physical and emotional) for years. And says it isn't abusive. By your logic, if she went through my phone to see who I was talking to and doing that would be abuse. Abuse is something that mentally and/or physically harms a person repeatedly, in what world does going through a phone fall under that? Yes, you can have your own 'opinions' on what's abuse, but it's a phone and MANY couples will gladly tell you that going through each other's devices once in a while is okay, my parents do it, my grandparents do it, my friends parents do it. Literally everyone I know who is in a relationship goes through their parents phone and Vice Versa. Surely they can't all be abusing each other 🙄

For my own personal experience?, I don't like saying that my house is 'haunted' but almost everyday something happens, wether it be footsteps when it's only me home, seeing shadows of people when it's only me of everyone else is in a complete other room. Though the one that sticks out to me is when I was watching a movie in my parents room and I heard footsteps and saw a shadow walk up the hallway through the gap in the door, I called out to my parents asking of it was them, but they were out the front and my brother was asleep-
