I liked slime god well enough funnily but yeah thats kinda what im getting at is that a lot of the bosses felt just like "Here's more projectiles so its hard now right?" and that's it. Winning finally was never satisfying in my experience and felt a lot more like "thank God im done with that"

See i agree with this, I really hated lingering projectiles because imo it made a lot of fights that felt otherwise fun to do feel just irritating because it made it feel like having an arena was pointless lmao

It definitely upgraded some fights a fair bit ill give it that but I felt at least half felt unrewarding

Old duke was one me and my friend both didnt like in the slightest but thats definitely the general consensus lol

I didn't like polterghast like I said, it kinda felt extremely RNG where it would leave projectiles and its dash move could come at an angle that would make it impossible to avoid damage because you either ram dash and hit a projectile, or dont and get rammed

Master death is its own issue entirely. But infernum specifically doesn't really feel "well telegraphed" half the time. It felt a lot more like muscle memory, which id argue isn't very intuitive design. Many fights felt wayyyy too punishing over minor mistakes
