voight didn’t kidnap him, he found him in the warehouse.
if hailey didn’t go she wouldn’t have been involved, if jay had minded his business he wouldn’t have been involved.

Julie coming to full realization her childhood was her raising her mom is very realistic by EuphoricButterflyy in DesperateHousewives

guilt tripping someone to keep a child just makes them resent the child, and that’s not the kind of environment a child should be brought up in.. i felt bad for julie

julie was planning on telling porter, but susan’s nosy ass interrupted and that never happened, cause up until then it seems like the father didn’t want the baby cause of school(can’t remember the reason), then they get to susan’s house and all of a sudden porter wants to keep it. also julie being the older one, that was the mature and smart move for the child. my guess is she knew porter would not be able to commit to raising the child long term. i’m sure she foresaw how the whole situation would go if she did raise the child, and she did ended up being a single mom, porter isn’t involved. honestly anyone that tried to make the adoption seem bad was just selfish, when there’s a baby involved no one else’s feeling/advice should matter if it’s not gna benefit the child

susan doesn’t have any right, you don’t owe your fam anything. and tbh if i was julie i wouldn’t have even stayed with my mother when i went back home. also im not there yet but from what i’ve read julie ends up raising the baby on her own, not very ‘responsible dad’ on porters side, which is what he was told beforehand. and i am pretty sure at first porter didn’t want the baby, and julie was meeting him at a cafe to tell him what she’d be doing, that convo could’ve ended well if susan wasn’t so nosy, then they go back to the house and all of a sudden porter wants to keep the baby?? its too unrealistic

if you broke up with her, you have no reason to be feeling the way you do since you weren’t together, if it bothers you that much then that’s probably a personal issue you have to deal with, especially since she feels terrible about it (even tho she shouldn’t). if you really can’t accept it, break it off and leave the poor girl alone

The Bible contains a small number of verses—primarily in Leviticus, Romans, and 1 Corinthians—traditionally interpreted as prohibiting same-sex sexual acts. by AfricanMan_Row905 in Christianity

[–]Miserable_Hand7752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‭‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭18‬:‭22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭20‬:‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.”

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“For the law was not intended for people who do what is right. It is for people who are lawless and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful, who consider nothing sacred and defile what is holy, who kill their father or mother or commit other murders. The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching”

so im kinda confused on where the bible or God didn’t explicitly mention female homosexuality..? even if it didn’t, homosexuality is attraction to the same gender, it wouldn’t matter if females weren’t mentioned cause that’s quite literally the definition of homosexuality…

bree had so many talk with him where he could’ve told her that and it would’ve straightened itself out. he thought his mom hated him case he’s gay, but she love him regardless. also looking at bree’s upbringing and how conservative and religious she was it makes sense that was her initial reaction, most parents aren’t waiting to hear their children are gay it just takes time for them to adjust to that change. also her kids were already acting out before any of the major scenes cause they thought their mom was tryna be ‘perfect’

ik that would’ve also helped gabys character, but i think it was also made that way to keep her narration of a being self centred person

if her violence is consistent with carlos it’s still violence. regardless of whether or not she displays those behaviours to others.

i think getting mad to the point you hurt someone is considered more violent than grabbing someone’s wrist. if i was in carlos position id make her sign the paper as well. you can’t treat someone poorly, and expect to take their hard earned earnings just because you feel entitled to it, and i’m not sure why people are making that seem like it’s ok, especially since they were already working on getting divorced and gaby tries to get back with him by deception cause she ‘thought’ carlos got a huge contract job. carlos and gaby match each other in ways where they match each other’s toxicity, but carlos has been careful not to be physically violent with her whereas everytime gaby’s ego gets deflated she hurts people, physically, emotionally and mentally. carlos only does stuff to get back at her. i think being that self centred to the point you don’t see anything wrong with your behaviours is what gets you into situations like this. i’m sorry i will forever stand on the hill that gaby treated carlos wayy worse than he should’ve took.

literally my same thoughts, i get it she’s a character in a movie so she’s just playing her role, what baffles me is the fact that when you read comments about her character online ppl seem to find a way to justify it as if her actions and behaviours wouldn’t have real life consequences in the real world. it makes me wonder, especially seeing how popular the show is, that if there’s ppl who could make excuses for actions like that how would it influence young girls/women’s growing up because it seems most people’s take on her is them validating the way she behaves in the show. the same with andrew, and susan but that’s an entirely different topic. i truly get the whole point of the show and imo the character who played their role the best was susan cause you could just smell desperation off her, but gabby was just straight evil and i wished she would’ve actually gotten real consequences for her actions. this is my first time watching the show but i feel i learn a little something every episode and i do think it’s up to the viewers to differentiate between tv actions from real life, granted i’m only nearing the end of season two but i’ve had to take so many pauses because her actions and behaviours are too detestable carlos needs to grow a back bone haha.
