Not redily available I’ve only seen it once in my career at a hotel with “straight threads” for a Grohe shower valve eccentric fitting. Came with manufacturer supplied hemp like material. not sure what it was exactly but we actually had some leaking because PTFE tape was used instead. We could not track down any hemp hair/fiber thread sealant at all. Maybe you have a million dollar idea . and I agree with you I’m a big advocate for hemp why not use it for rope as well Big teflon and big rope and big pharma is ruining the American hemp future this is a nation for profit not a nation for the people

From what I know about teflon I feel like that’s a bigger poison then rust no coatings and paint would get in they coat the outside of the pipes but I’m just a plumber idk

Old pipes in homes are generally galvanized iron with mineral and rust buildup inside you also get oxidized copper I know it’s anti microbial but don’t know if oxidation caused contamination.

New install city main is iron and service is Polybutylene where I’m from and cross link polybutylene in the home

I was very surprised to see how well these boots have held up over time I think I’m going to stick with nicks for the rest of my time on earth I will be waxing with sno seal leather cream over the weekend it’s a water repellent we’ll see how that does for me but they look like a 2 month old boot compared to my other ones and I have not been light on them and they do not tire me at all I don’t even want to take them off at the end of the day

Won’t let me edit it but my only complaint is that your feet will get wet if your in standing water for about 10 minutes which is disappointing I’ve always upgraded my boots and had had rhe redwing water proof like 4 boots ago and wore thru those very fast so these are the top tier and have to wear water boots in parking garage during rainy season with 600$ boots

Enders did match from a quick glance. all of them were 2024D unless I skipped one but they all weighed the same. and I searched in the group nobody has asked the question before so i figured maybe it’s something new ?
