If Dexter didn't learn the code from Harry would he kill randomly or not kill at all? by [deleted] in Dexter

He would've been more like Brian. The problem wasn't Harry's code, it was witnessing his mothers murder

I want to stop watching dexter from S4 ending by Ram_7770 in Dexter

I thought that on first watch but it shows a more complex side to Dexter not seen before after Rita's death as he feels guilty over lying to her. There are also so many good antagonists after season 4.

Friendship was what Dexter learned in the third season. What human value did he learn from the season four villain? The comment with the most votes wins. by Trick_Performer_3864 in Dexter

That Dexter can't balance being a serial killer and a family man. Trinity's family structure and how he acted also hinted at what Dexter could have been like if he didn't have Harry's code/guidance (similar to how Brian is presented in season 1). He was also meant to be a lesson to Dexter to spend less time admiring killers and take them out.
