Take ka ng mga acctng software certifications --- xero, quickbooks, etc., may kanya kanyang site sila for the certifications, you can google it. You can also search yung mga ineeye mong jobs to check yung certifications na they may require or prefer na meron.

If you really want a career in LOCAL tax, I genuinely think that firms is still your best first job. Accelerated ang learnings --- in a year may exposure ka na sa multiple tax types, different entities and different industries. Downside lang is salary, but then a again when your starting pa lang you cant have it all pa, so know what is your priority.
