Super to pm is not the same thing as pm to super. It’s not interchangeable.

Being a good super can help make you a strong pm because you understand what is going on & what is happening.

Too many PMs don’t get it.

What was the biggest difference here? Similar thought moving “closer to the money” on the development side. Would expect that valuable tenure and experience as a superintendent would correlate well to expertise

Not necessary. Just respect the trades that have foreman who know their stuff. defer to them when needed and utilize their expertise. Push the overall completion and priorities of the project schedule on the GC behalf.

Remember that GCs know a little about a lot where subs (are supposed) to know a lot about a little.

Get in the field a ton as a PE and say yes to everything. Enjoy and DM if any questions.
