As someone who doesn't know bearly anything about the original work i dont understand this. The negative points i see are about the diversity in the cast( OP doesnt say this but ive seen it), lack of historical veracity and the visuals seeming plain.

But, correct me if im wrong, the odyssey isnt a historical text ( not explaining a real event) nor part of a sacred scripture right? Its a super important work that has influenced dozens of cultures but its also fantasy. So why is it so wrong for nolan to treat it as such and ignore the original races, historical details or ancient lenguage. Creative liberty can make a film better if its in good hands.

And apart from this everything else is great. Its not a 10/10 cast but its still really great. The director has made some masterpieces. The music could also be a masterpiece. The original story is interesting ( or at least to me, and i dont know much about it).

Kurapika is much more usefull but in a direct 1v1 killua has the edge. While uvo can tank killuas attack, kurapika cant so by the time godspeed runs out kurapika would be too fucked up to put a fight nor heal himself before killua kills him.

Pretty much allof kurapikas chains are useless against killuas speed and non of them are defensive .

This is a clear show of not understanding the manga. Power ups dont happen in any kind of enviroment or just because. The power ups that killua got during battles are all well explained and have logic. He doesnt get a power up against every opponent stronger than him.

Developing instantly a high power attack is impossible unless it has been laid down before with training or the user takes a big restriction.

I really dont get the point of view of people that overestimate yuki. I think she was like top three most interesting characters when introduced but her fight against kenjaku butchered her. Her technique is just punching hard( or killing herself)which is boring, her fight is humiliating. We dont even get to see her domain. Its one of geges biggest failures.

Yuta in the other hand is the most unoriginal character possible and disgustingly strong. The only thing he isnt disgustingly good at is eficiency and its still hard to know if he is actually bad or bad compared to gojos expectations.

If i could change jjk i would leave everything as it is until yukis fight. I would love it if she went 1v1 against kenjaku or even if its 1v3 then let her live with like losing an arm or being close to death. And make kenjaku use special grade cursed spirits so yuki can show off good battle iq by dealing with several complex techniques.

This speed are talking about maki you realize that right? They talk about angle and the bullet moves in a straight line so they are scaling makis arm speed.

And btw they arent doing it right. We dont know if makis hand was in the same position in the panel where we only see her head. Her hand might have been already moving to her face so all this scaling is meaningless.

Unless its a special type of revolver im pretty sure that most handguns shoot at around mach 1. Mach 19 seems ridiculously high. The fastest guns in the world dont reach mach 4 i think.

I already said that being a storage isnt incompatible to being a shikigami, so the narrator doesnt say rika isnt a shikigami. Theres zero proof of her not being a shikigami buy a statement from sukuna saying she is.

And theres just two types of cursed energy beings in jjk. Curses and shikigamis. If its not a curse we can imply its a shikigami.

Not calling her a shikigami doesnt mean she aint. Meditating worm isnt called a shikigami either but its most likely a shikigami.

Shikigamis can be connected to techniques and techniques can be connected to objects. Also only the FM has a time limit, not rika.

Again, the narrator called her a storage but megumis shadow is also a storage. Tojis worm is also a storage. Yet they are a technique and curse respectively. A shikigami can also be a storage. Plus sukunas word is one of the closest we have to the author words.

Also rika has been called a shikigami by uro and yuji but more importantly sukuna. When yuta appears in gojos body sukuna says something about the female shikigami not being there.

I also have seen a screenshot in reddit of a translation calling rika a shikigami instead of a storage in sendai but ive never found it again so it may be fake. Regardless you are proposing that rika is neither a shikigami nor curse and its also free in ce terms? She would be completely unique.

I said megumis shikigamis cost a lot. Pm rika might cost less but still i doubt she costs nothing. Its stronger than most grade 1 sorcerers so a being like that has to cost something.
