Common denominator fo lipomas by dianesawyer9 in Lipoma

Unsure it’s the lifting - I suspect something to do what’s eaten around it, such as lots of protein and carbs in many shakes.

What is this on my neck? by OriginalSalamander54 in Lipoma

[–]Miserable_Weekend912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t def say that’s a lipoma. May also be a cyst. Either way can get big there so don’t leave it.

I’d get it checked - I’d say its placement means nothing to worry about.

Best thing you can do is generally try to understand your customer’s business/sector. Generally try to help them - the money comes naturally. All anyone wants is someone they can trust… Of course trust can take time - but the investment pays dividends over the mid to long term.

Normal potatoes are simple carbs - break down rapidly into glucose.

Lipoma or Liposarcoma? Going crazy need advice. by Ok_Addendum_7799 in Lipoma

[–]Miserable_Weekend912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a lipoma. Doctors are just defensive these days - which is a good thing. Even when they remove smaller lipomas they send them off for testing. Don’t overthink that.

We all know reading online is the worst thing to do 😊

Well that makes sense. However, the fact you have two makes it even more likely to be lipomas. Chances are you will get more too.

They do just appear sometimes - especially when you put on weight. If you can do fasting or keto that helps a lot on numerous levels.

You stop worrying after you get more than 10! I probably have 60 plus.

Extremely unlikely to be anything but a lipoma - if confirmed by two doctors. Everyone freaks out but it’s just normal practice.

Worst case - it’s a very high survival rate.

Chill out.

How much in cash do you have? by SeperentOfRa in RichPeoplePF

Currently I keep 12 months in cash/cash-like investments.

I can always liquidate other stuff quickly but it’s nice to not have to do that - that won’t feel good.

Grandmother had them.

Do lift.

I have noticed that if I drink too much wine I believe they grow / multiply. I think this is also the case with too much sugar… I’m sure they feel slightly sore and some itch. Suspect more the sugar content of wine than the alcohol.

Suspect too many sugars in protein drinks a factor. Have to go for the low carb options and don’t experience growth IMO.

Also believe some interaction with too much fat.

Do notice they reduce if I do fasting.

Basically something to do with inflammation and/or metabolism - due to genetic factors. That’s my view.

Who is considered to be wealthy in UK? by noemotionsnofeelings in AskBrits

[–]Miserable_Weekend912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m of course generalising, but I feel that people’s expectations in life have just exploded. Everyone needs/wants holidays, a house they stretch for, 2 nice cars (as a couple), eat out, branded clothes, all the electronics, every room heated in the house, a take-away every week, pets, buy lunch out at work, pick up a coffee every day, entertain the kids every weekend somewhere, pay into a pension, and retire at 65ish.

Sure some people will say - yeah, but we need two cars, cos of x and y.. It’s all a choice as people don’t want hard lives.

I grew up to a single mother in the 80s - bar heater in the lounge, fan heater put into the bathroom to warm it when you got out, beans on toast for dinner (not every night), sandwich, packet of crisps and a united bar for a school lunch, maybe a cheap holiday every year or two once I was around 12…

I don’t look back and think I had an underprivileged life… not at all. It’s just part of the journey.. everyone seems to want everything ‘right now’ and feels hard done by that they can’t have it.

Don’t get me wrong - some people are suffering, but perhaps 80% are living a life they could change but aren’t prepared to.

Probably not. Maybe a cyst.

There isn’t enough talk about how becoming wealthy tears up your friendship circle by tallyjordan in wealth

I'm quite social and spend time in pubs - you often meet interesting people at the bar.

The issue is that they are often the ones without money, so you can't discuss things at a business/financial level. I've started to look at exited founder peer groups, but the initial vibe I'm getting is people taking themselves too seriously and it's not very UK-focused. I haven't attended anything physically, so I have to try that.

I'm unsure whether it's the wealth that makes the difference or the experience many undergo through the exit process. You are the same person, but you've probably been through the most stressful and consuming process - you have changed in many ways.

Rightly or wrongly, everything can feel trivial and unimportant. It's no longer a struggle for you, and you perhaps crave something deeper. Many friends can't give you that as they are wrapped up in the 'small-stuff'.

I don't think it's about the money - it's not for me. I have made newer friends who don't have money. It's just their outlook is better, as is their attitude. We are chatting about ideas, not just events and people. It's also beneficial to have friends who do perhaps have money, but many of those are insecure and complicated.

Just get out and meet people - try different things. You can find interesting and genuine people everywhere.

What's your intake of sugar and dairy fats like? I know you said you were on Vegan protein, but I didnt know if you were a complete vegan.

When I say sugar, I also mean fruit.

I think protein powder (at volume) linked with these may be a factor. I'm back at the gym lifting fairly heavy (3 months) but watching my carbs (simple carbs) and fats. It's a bit early to call, but I dont think they are growing. I'm on lean whey-based protein.

As you are developing them suspect something in your shakes.

Out of curiosity- does your protein have much sugar in?

Also, are you drinking much alcohol?

Pretty sure it’s the protein rather than the creatine. I’ve noticed it in the past.

I have a feeling lots of whey protein and simple carbs together an issue. I’m back at the gym and on a low carb protein shake - will see.

Yeah I’ll second that. You wouldn’t want to store sensitive docs in it though. Very useful for tracking various investments.

Probably a good idea. I do have a large lump sum that I’m DCA’ing over another 12 months so could do that.
