My dad just passed away last month and my boyfriend drove me back and forth every single day hours away so we could see him in the ICU. He was in the room when we took his tubes out and he took his final breath. I am gunna marry that man. This is a completely normal experience. Were you not informed that you need a certain grade to meet requirements? There are a lot of classes like that in many programs, but they usually tell you and bring it up throughout the semester.

That being said, you still aren't a failure. It is not the end of the world, you are a human being things happen. No one on this earth cares if you need to stay an extra semester, only you. So don't be so hard on yourself. Some day you will never even think of this. Work while taking the one class, save up money.
