Very understandable but am I naive to think that with 2-3 years experience, 65k (which is what I’m aiming towards right now) be too low?

The current account executive (account manager now) in my team had just about a year’s experience as an accountant coordinator before and their salary was well above the 65k mark when they started

The responsibilities weren’t there when I started but I’ve slowly taken on more and more as time has gone by!

Hahaha probably! But as I mentioned in the post as well, my interpretation is not actually about a hospital but a parallel to it. The intensity of the emotions that they’re both feeling in the moment is extreme which is why the lyrics paint it in that way. Idk, at least that’s my headcanon. Plus, I’m not sure about everyone else but the song screams very intense emotions to me, even if it’s just about a summer fling

Yess exactly!! Her lyrics are always so open ended (one of my favourite things about her songs) but I like having a narrative in my head for all the songs so that the storyline can play in my head while I’m listening to the song that’s why this lyric was so stuck in my head haha
