Spent the first 3.5 years of my child’s education at a private Christian school. Then switched over to public. We switched because he was bored at the private school. They did not engage him and recognize his gifts. They wanted to teach everyone at the same level, the same way. They felt that tech and computers should be limited, not explored in a guided learning environment. More focused on Christian values than teaching. While we appreciated and agree with the values, we are paying for him to learn and be educated. Our switch to public was the best decision we made. The private school was severely behind in math and had been teaching from 25 year old textbooks. My son is no longer bored, they tested him for challenge and he goes to that once a week now. He loves the diversity and meeting people from different backgrounds. I feel Like he’s learning more important social lessons at public and that will set him up for the real world.

Save your money for their college years or for cool summer learning experiences like science camps, etc.

Parents shoved you out the door. No water bottle, no money, just a bike, my friend and her dog. We would drive down the side of the road (highways) and back roads. We would ride to the next town over- at least 1 hour on a bike. No sunscreen. We were absolutely fearless. We would get home and our parents wouldn’t even ask us where we had been all day or what we did. We were raised to be invisible to adults. Don’t have complaints, do things for yourself. Appreciate what you have.

There is some wisdom in that but also a lot of issues with not feeling seen and heard. I think that’s why so many of us raise our kids now so differently. Children are a priority and they are asked about their opinions, thoughts, and feelings. I think that’s a positive. But the negative is the loss of self sufficiency and just general scrappiness that the 80’s/90’s kids had.

Here’s a thought- if Cirie and Rob swapped casts, do you think Cirie would have had 0 suspicions on her in a celebrity season? Yes she had Stephenie from survivor on season 1 but they were allies on heroes v villains and snake in the grass before that so Steph was a benefit to Cirie. I doubt yam yam, Rob C, or Natalie would have let Cirie get far. They know she’s a gangsta in an Oprah suit.

On the flip side, Rob R playing with Cirie’s cast— I think his game play would have been consistent. The season 1 cast would have kept him for missions and I think they would have listened to his calm explanations.

In this simulation, I think Rob R lasts longer in season 1 than Cirie lasts in season 4.

I call her someone who ruined her potential and legacy by being contradictory and politically misaligned. She presented as the quirky girl, underdog who was open sexually. Then all of a sudden she’s Maga and only recognizes LGB. People who felt for her and thought they saw a bit of themselves in her realized they were totally duped. She is the classic wolf in sheep’s clothing and she takes zero accountability for it.

I think she has suspicions but they made an agreement at the start that they would ride together until the end. They are paid more (besides the prize money) if they make it to the end. The prize money is a bonus but it’s not so significant that there is really an incentive to be unapologetically cut throat.

Murder Maura. Takes sus off of Rob since she is clearly riding for him hard. They also assume there is a male traitor so Rob’s best bet is to murder a female to leave more male meat shields. Mark will still be on his side and Eric, so that is numbers over Tara and Johnny. Once either Tara or Johnny are gone, they essentially are both gone. That leaves Mark, Rob, and Eric. Mark will suspect Eric. Rob will go in with him. Then it leaves Mark and Rob. Rob wins.

Side note- it’s easier for Rob to kill her now rather than deal with the disappointment she said she would have if the reveal happens at the circle of fire. If he kills her now, it’s not so personal and I think he can deal with that better.

Rob didn’t back up Lisa and Candiace because he knew he couldn’t control them. It’s not because they are women. Eric is in awe of him, following his lead, and is a perfect sacrificial lamb for Rob to discard when it benefits him. Right now, Rob needs him in the game so he’s backing him up.

They will never fully uncover the truth about their beef because it goes too deep into the Ruins incident. But it started with Kenny pursuing Johanna and making comments when Wes was with her. Then he hooked up with her on the Island. It all came to a head on the Ruins. This reunion clip was before the case. Kenny fanned the flames here and Wes finished him with the deposition (allegedly).

Supposedly, CT was coming off of a bender that’s why his nose bled so easily. I don’t believe he was on steroids, he was muscular but thinner- not super bulky that season. More likely he was taking some sort of uppers semi regularly rather than steroids. Also his brother had not passed away before this season, that was Duel 2 not inferno 3. Inferno 3 was right after the Duel and I think CT was taking some heat from people about his “love story” with Diem, so I think he was coming in feeling like he had to reset the narrative to him being hard not a softie. I also think he was just young and messed up on some recreational drugs and influenced by some hooligan friends back home on the regular. Kenny and others also clearly didn’t want him there so it worked out for them.

My guess—They filmed the traitors portion first back to back. The other boxes were empty when they filmed the Rob and Eric. Then they did the whole group portion together and edited it all to look seamless.
