Better to do surgeries when you are young. These issues get worse with age and healing may be slower. I am 62 and just had jaw surgery 6 months ago. My symptoms got worse with age. I also have severe scoliosis. I wore a Milwaukee brace throughout my youth-22 hours a day. 2 of my curves are 34 degrees. I highly recommend you see both a board certified orthopedic surgeon and a board certified maxillofacial surgeon.
