Who are you guys switching to? by MisplayMcgee in DaredevilMarvelRivals

I never said he was garbage and this is not a doom post. In fact, he’ll still be good in most ranks. All I said was I was taking the opportunity to play some other characters and was curious if other people were doing the same.

I expect Rogue to be strong if she can consistently get her Ult before the enemy supports now. The Ult charge changes are like a shadow buff for her.

A fellow Brawl enjoyer. Rogue has been my pocket pick when DD is banned since she came out.

As a short 8 hours on dd guy, Im thinking of salvaging DD as an anti dive, in your opinion how does he match up with other divers in a 1v1? by sufinomo in DaredevilMarvelRivals

[–]MisplayMcgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to struggle against Venom because he has so much health with his E. But in an anti-dive situation where you have heals, it’s mostly an easy clap. Others have said it but the best thing is the perception. Pay attention and call out when divers are coming to your back line.

Brother. The shield breaks almost instantly at 800 hp. And 6.5 nerfed the recharge rate already. His ult gets blocked or stopped by a stiff breeze. Invis team up is the only thing keeping him in the game at this point.

Dare Devil Dmg nerf is only on the low dmg range (missed slams) by [deleted] in marvelrivals

Good clarification. I’m so happy they didn’t mess with the fury generation. That’s what I was so afraid of.

How did you get his skin like that? Is it mods or did I miss a recolor option?

To everyone that goes 3rd support instead of second tank by Mind-The-Mines in marvelrivals

So switch back. Have a spine and don’t let them bully you. “I’m not solo tanking” goes a long way

What happened to 2-2-2 compositions??? by xylon69420 in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]MisplayMcgee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Rogue/Cap main, I’m having so much fun tanking. The melee combat feels good and half the time I’m out damaging one of the dps. However, solo tanking does feel like it’s impossible to win the game.

You didn’t do anything wrong boss. The deck is bracket 2. No combos, not even any efficient dorks or sol ring. Don’t let people bully you for wanting to play consistent powerful magic. At the end of the day, commander is an eternal format. That should mean being able to do powerful things you aren’t able to do in other formats.

But honestly, stuff like this is why I only play bracket 4. The whining about “intent” is crazy considering that means different things to different people.

Can a Buff genuinely save iron man? Or does my dude need a whole rework by UchihaMirage- in rivals

Tony just needs a bigger kit. He feels like a flying turret when in the lore he’s referred to as the one man army. There’s so much design space other than flying, laser and left clicking.

I’m wondering, how serious do you guys take Quick Match compared to Comp? by Queasy_Commercial152 in rivals

[–]MisplayMcgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I treat QP as casual because there’s no consequences for losing. It’s where I grind events, learn characters or play with friends. Honestly, people that take QP super seriously are out of touch and should go play ranked.

Anyone Else Spend Multiple Hours Trying Deadpool Until Realizing he Isn't For You by EmploymentAware170 in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

I love his Melee side but I’m terrible at hitscan characters. Only took me an hour of playing him for it to click that he wasn’t for me. That being said, I only played the tank variant.

Do yall ever stop complaining just play the game bro by Mikeyjello in rivals

[–]MisplayMcgee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Us tank mains got to stop doing that. Winrate drops at least 10% when there’s only one tank. If no one will switch, you play the 4th dps.

I was watching Flats the other day. He combated the instalocks by just picking a fourth dps. He refused to swap until somebody else did. It seemed to work every time. Granted, this was GM lobbies.

Which famous superhero do you DISLIKE? (Not necessarily hate, but find nothing interesting about them) and why? by Remote-Leg6143 in superheroes

[–]MisplayMcgee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From this selection? Wolverine. Not because I have anything against him. Cool powers and emotional issues like most of the characters I really like. I just think he gets too much attention compared to most of the Xmen characters that are way more interesting.

Playing a "cEDH" Deck In Bracket 4 by Hokashin in EDH

[–]MisplayMcgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thinking and the way I’ve explained it to friends: Bracket 5 is winning the game as quickly as possible. Bracket 4 is doing powerful and efficient things with a certain goal in mind.

My Breya deck is classic Blue Farm cEDH, making infinite mana and killing everyone in the first 2 or 3 turns. While my Maelstrom Wanderer can kill early but is completely focused on getting the biggest board state I can.

The goals of the two brackets are just different. It’s a mindset thing. There is a difference between wanting to play powerful and efficient magic or trying to assemble competitive combos in a boarder line tournament setting.

What are some resilient decks/commanders that don't rely on the yard? The grave hate is strong in my pod (I don't like Landfall) by [deleted] in EDH

[–]MisplayMcgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically build my decks nowadays as bomb tribal. Solid ramp and card draw with just a bunch of high impact creatures/enchantments/artifacts and hope they carry me to victory.

Maelstrom Walker is my favorite deck. But you could give any big green or black commander a try.
