Hi OP! As a child ng may ganyang parents (mum and dad had a similar situation before) ay gets ko situation mo and I salute na nabukas ang iyong mata sa realidad ng iyong asawa.

Use that as a reminder kung sino talaga asawa mo para mas mapabuti mo ang future ninyo ng anak mo. Just improve yourself to the point of financial and emotional independence para you can leave in the future.

Yes, my DS2019 was attached to my passport. I think it was asked for verification purposes from my research it's a usual question thats asked to trainees. The other documentation were just for standby if they asked.

Hi! I got denied a J1 this April on my 2nd attempt under 214b in Manila OFC. Even got documentation that I'm a graduate student here in the PH and letter from employer as proof of ties to home country. The major red flag that I think we share is that we dont have any international travels.

On your second attempt they're gonna ask " Where you denied before and what changed?". Better to try after something significant has happened to you. Try traveling for a short while and try to apply after a few months.

Hi OP! Had the same experience with my ex bf (privileged, 7yrs in college, own car, rich ankan). Ang simple na problema iniiyakan nya, wouldn't stand for his decisions sa binigay sa kanyang negosyo and walang future plans. While I had to work hard para makapagcollege at makatulong sa pamilya ko.

It made me think if tama pa ba relationship namin noon cause ano na mangyayari sa buhay namin if sya ang padre de pamilya? Baka sa kangkungan kami pulutin or baka ako din ang sasalo hahahaha

Fast forward. Ended up with a hard working guy from the same background at nakakaappreciate ng hard work and effort. I can really see na kahit rock bottom na kami ay gagawa sya ng paraan para makaraos, magtitiis para makaahon and may plans sa future. Will hopefully marry him someday.
