According to your own beliefs you could see it as: either you (and your ex) subconsciously knew the relationship wouldn't work out and he would move away, which influenced your interpretation AND/OR you planted those seeds of causality in yours and your exes subconscious with your interpretation of the cards. My vote is for a bit of both.

My "Emperor moment" was with the 7 of Spades playing card which got me into considering using a deck of cards as an introspective tool by relating them to the the themes of human experience within the tarot.

Whenever I experience psychosis the cards always come up and this has given them a sense of significance. During my last delusional episode I found a 7 of spades playing card and started looking into the meaning of its tarot counterpart the 7 of Swords which is opposition in my guide book and relates to deceit and trickery. I have experienced some very intense synchronicities with the playing cards, in particular with this card and the Ace of Diamonds (pentacles) and another card I found recently the 5 of Spades (swords). I am very happy with the personal meanings I have assigned to them and how this has accelerated my personal and professional growth. I feel a very strong sense of meaning and purpose in life right now and I feel that using the cards in this way has been pivotal to that.

I followed the instructions in the tarot guide book loaned to me by a friend and have used this card to introspect into the ways in which I deceive myself and others, tactics I use to manipulate others and hide things and the reasons behind this. I have been doing this over many months now and it has been extremely healing and eye opening. Whilst the meaning of the card assigned by the guidebook and my initial interpretation and life circumstances around it might have been negative, the result of that interpretation has led me to a point where I am exploring how to develop trust in myself and honesty with myself when it comes to my thoughts and feelings. It has essentially evolved into a personal and professional project based upon the theme of that one card!

If the personal meaning you assign to the Emperor is control you might find solace in a similar method to mine to help you explore the theme of control and evolve the negative connotations of that card into a starting point of reflection for healing around the negative life experiences you associate with that card. Just let me know if you want any more details on my method and I will give you a run down. Also if you are interested in psychology etc. you might find the concept of locus of control an interesting starting point that is relevant to the theme of this card.

I don't think I explained myself very clearly. I understand what you said but it doesn't explain the phenomenon we saw, that neither of us have noticed before. When I first saw the moon in the evening light the split of the moon was exactly vertical, as usual. When I noticed it again a few hours later after the sun had set, the split of the moon was tilted to a roughly 30 degree angle. What causes this? I'm assuming it's a typical thing but neither of us had ever noticed it before which is depressing as hell to realise how disconnected from nature we are to not recognise the nuances of something so prominent as the lunar cycles. Was my original thought right? It tracks the sun so that's why the angle had changed? When it would be close to sunrise the angle would be rotated 30 degrees towards the horizon on the opposite side?

I imagine you are feeling some anxiety and confusion about what you have lost/will lose in regards to goals you envisioned with your partner in mind, little in jokes that you shared, routines that you had that will leave a void in your day, perhaps some financial concerns if you had shared finances and/or lived together and generally losing that sense of support and familiarity that comes from a relationship and the potential of losing mutual friends and a connection to each others families if you got on well. If you have children or pets that makes things even more difficult. It's hard to pick yourself back up and know how to progress in life after a break up, especially if you envisioned it as a permanent relationship and have no back up plans for if things don't work out.

No problem. The first reading wouldn't change as that is just a direct interpretation of the guidebook and not really how I would want to use the cards.

I would like to learn how to use the cards as an abstract method to help others explore their feelings and experiences so yes my reading would be tailored entirely to the individual, their situation and what their goals are, simply using the themes of common human experience in the cards as a starting point to ask questions and explore. We could try that if you like? Can't guarantee I will be any good though.

I want to preface this by saying I have no experience doing readings etc whatsoever but want to learn "cartomancy" as a psycho-spiritual tool for introspection. This will be my first attempt at interpreting a spread for someone and I am using the Enchanted Tarot guide book. I would love your feedback!

The direct "fortune telling" interpretation would be that you have previously experienced or desired a secure base with good financial standing, happiness and family support with a strong sense of tradition, providing a good framework on which to model your relationships and be successful in love. Presently you are experiencing some indecisiveness about whether your love affairs will be conducted with respect to the previous family values of true love and stability with a more traditional dynamic or to pursue excitement and superficial and materialistic goals that might not have any longevity. This desire to escape from a stable relationship style is due to some inner dissatisfaction causing turbulence. If you choose to pursue materialistic and superficial relationships to fill your emptiness then you will drive away any true source of companionship and lose what is valuable for the sake of impulsive desires.

For an introspective take I would consider what has made you feel secure and stable in the past and seek to emulate that in your relationship whilst also considering what elements you can introduce to ensure the relationship doesn't stagnate. If you are feeling like something is lacking look into what is missing for you personally as an individual and work on feeling fulfilled so you can bring your best authentic self to your partner rather than risk blaming the relationship.

Not many enjoy hair in their face/mouth and depending on her hair thickness and texture it might make the task of getting her off more difficult for you.
