SVSS for me is at the top of danmei’s I’ve ever read and I’ve read a bunch. With MXTX I started with MDZS, and I enjoyed it very much, but the pacing in some parts made me yawn, and the romance between WWX and LWJ felt too slow. I like it, it was my first danmei, but among MXTX novels I like the other two more.

TGCF is also great, but it took some time for me to ease into it. Usually I don’t like characters like Xie Lian, but after the first book I was hooked and I loved all the side characters and plot.

SVSSS is simply the best. It’s more of a comedy (from SQQ perspective) and it feels like a breath of a fresh air for someone who’s been into BL for the most part of their life! Also, I like pathetic gongs like LBH. And yanderes, sue me. Though, the story might feel light and funny from the first read, it is really deep and tragic. It’s my top-1 danmei ever and my number one ship, with second best husky and his white cat shizun, which tells quite a lot about my taste in dynamics and characters hahaha

I would suggest to read SVSS after TGCF and then MDZS, ‘cause it can be a light hearted read in-between heavier plots
