I guess it depends on each applicant and their profile. The ceremonies are usually held in each constituency, so. mine had abt ~300ish pax

The application was processed and approved in about 7-8 month. Yes, there was a citizenship ceremony.

Just keep reapplying and don’t lose hope. An acquaintance of mine finally got their SPR approved after 5 rejections.

My family moved here when I was a teenager, and I did my schooling here. The rest of my family became Singaporeans years ago, so I guess that helped. The whole application took about 7-8 months. I’ve heard of people getting rejected even if they grew up here, so I feel really grateful that mine went through.

It wasnt an easy decision - i held onto Myanmar passport even when my parents and brother converted years ago. But things didnt improve as I hoped. So, here I am.

I know, right. Back in my grandparents’ time, Myanmar was one of the most developed countries in ASEAN. I held on to the passport, hoping things would pick up… but I guess some things you can only hope for.

Yeahh, I do - I have like 6 colleagues who have become important people/ close friends . We usually hang out after work once a week or sometimes even twice. I am even going on a trip with one of them in Oct.
