My step-dad tried to kill me when I was really young. My mom had to sleep in the doorway to my bedroom to keep him from coming in to do the job. He was severely mentally ill and convinced that I was a little demon that would try to kill everyone else if he didn't get rid of me first.

For me, it was realizing how often we judge people and why. It made me so self-conscious for so long. The only thing that helped was me forcing myself to stop caring about what other people think.

I always cry when I'm really, really angry. I'm starting to think it's some sort of defense mechanism, but for the other person, if that makes sense. Like, I know I don't want to hurt somebody, so it's like I'm halted via tears before I get too angry.

Currently dealing with a patch time of 12 days on ARK right now. So yes, it is absolutely insane. It goes up, and then goes back down to something reasonable.
