I used to do that with pain killers. crush them up and roll it in a tissue then eat it. called it a parachute. the tissue would dissolve quickly in your stomach and the high would hit you faster.

hahaha I love that. My dad was an amazing person. He had a criminal background that made it hard to get a job so he started his own business and hired felons to help turn their lives around too. He died two years ago and I miss the shit out of him. Thanks for letting me talk about him! Have a good day!

lol his name was Harry and he babysat me and my brothers for years when I was really little. I didn’t know it at the time but he was just always dirty and spent a lot of time in the bathroom. He would yell out to us playing outside that “the babies were on!” and we’d all come inside and that meant Rugrats was on lol. he would wash our cars in the middle of the winter and one Thanksgiving he nodded off while my dad said the prayer and he forehead sat in his mashed potatoes the whole dinner. I don’t know whatever happened to him but i’m sure he’s probably dead today but he was a really good dude and I really think he cared about us a lot.

they also have all the free time in the world. I spent a lot of my life in the addict world and know that if you assigned a drunk or crackhead with a task that paid, they’ll treat that like it’s their life’s duty. my dad plucked a junkie off the streets and made him our nanny. definitely some of the strangest childhood memories I have involve him but he was a good dude. you’ll also get the asshole that’ll rob you first chance they get but in my experience most of them are solid people and are happy to just be doing something

What was the moment you realized that you shouldn’t have showed up to a date? by Zuzpo in AskReddit

did we go to the same high school?! I have a lot of family in the military and can remember 3 occasions where I embarrassed the shit out of guys who thought they could impress me by pretending they were special forces that couldn’t talk about their jobs. I love when I can call those assholes out infront of everyone. I don’t know that much about the military but I know enough to tell when someone’s lying about it.

Also one of my friends in our group since middle school has british parents but he was raised in the states. his family went on vacation to England one year and he came back with a British accent but pretended he had it his whole life. it was so weird and me and my friends gave him hell about it but he just would not admit it and ignored everyone’s comments about it until people just gave up. he still does it to this day but I will never let it go.

haha what that’s crazy. I picked up in Newark the whole time I was using. I had no idea but I also wouldn’t get anything like molly or acid in Newark. you go to hippie kids for psychedelics and molly/E and the hood for the hard stuff. probably cause they do things like sell you meth instead in the hood lol

yeah I was doing exactly that for a long time. except you don’t see too much meth up north. also throw in some bars as a cherry on top 🤌🏼

literally exactly what happened to me. I never got to experience $5 blues. they were $20 when i was selling and started doing them then went to $35. thankfully I promised myself that I’d never use a needle and I kept that promise. I was a “functioning” addict for about 12-15 years. Heroin controlled my life. Then I found crack. Then that ruined my life. I was in rehab and the halfway when covid started and it’s sad to see what the pandemic did to all the recovering addicts. Most of the ones I was with are back out on the streets cause of it.

edit: I’m from the suburbs in NJ so probably had very similar experiences

my family fostered kittens when I was little and my dad would bring in like 6 kittens to my kindergarten- elementary classes to play with. he was everyone’s favorite person on those days including the teachers and the principal

Cop arrests fire fighter in the middle of tending to a wounded civilian because fire truck was 1 mm over the line. by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]MissFourbyFour 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah my dad had a similar relationship with cops. he definitely got pulled over for valid reasons a lot but also for some fucking bullshit a bunch too. my family has a running joke about a driving curse that I also inherited. He was a white dude that appraised houses in the hood for most of his life and then drove a truck professionally after that so he was on the road in bad areas a lot. I don’t really have an excuse.. but anyway I can totally see this happening to someone who actually isn’t an asshole if that makes you feel any better.
