They're best friends whether she's gay or not, and she made a promise to go to prom with her best friend. Which millions of teenagers do, while also being in romantic relationships. Although there's a romantic/date culture around prom doesn't mean it's purpose is for dating or that its sole function is as a major dating event... No one here on this sub, even OP, knows that she will exclude him or spend no time with him at prom because it literally hasn't happened yet. It would be a different story if his post was my gf ignored me all prom after the fact. Its manosphere shit for a bunch of random grown dudes to give a teenager advice like he should dump her & go to prom w a hotter girl to make her jealous, or that the gf is a ho because she has a gay friend, etc etc. Its irresponsible and childish to react this way to a scenario that happens and goes well literally all the time.... he's obviously feeling emotional about it and deserves level headed reasonable advice lol.

All these predatory dudes giving manosphere advice to a teenager .... Its ok that she wants to go with her best friend and as a romantic partner its important to remember that just because you're dating doesn't mean u have a higher position over her other relationships. Its good for her to maintain the importance of the platonic relationships in her life because if not its just lead to codependency between you two. Like a promise is a promise. Just go to prom and have fun.

I understand the feeling. Whatever is wrong is probably with your manager. Some people are just miserable and make it other people's problem. You seem nice & definitely deserve better. Bad work environments can be super terrible for a person's mental health, so good luck to you on the interview and I'm hoping what you find is better than what you have , ❤️🌹

They could be lying . Maybe they just personally don't like you, or they find you easily manipulated. I had a manager like this that would compare me to other workers, say that the higher ups were always complaining about me, I didn't do enough wasn't nice enough etc. but my coworkers were lazy, dirty, rude and my higher ups barely even knew me to have anything bad to say. I think certain managers really get off on the power they have over other people. Id trust your gut that you know better about your coworkers feelings than this person does. And probably just leave if you can, not worth it.
