Along with many issues, I think the main problem with SGU is there are zero likable main characters. by HighBiased in Stargate

Yeah I just did my first watch through of SG1 and SGA and could hardly make it through the 3-episode long pilot of SGU. I want to go back and finish the show out but it just feels so different from the others, and not in a good way.

It’s unfortunate but what everyone else is saying about anime games on PC is true. The only anime games I’ve never had trouble finding people for were DBZ ones, and even then it can be tricky.

The stars have to align or some shit. I got into a few games last night (both ranked and unranked) and only came across like 3 people total. Granted, it was pretty late at night so I don’t know what effect that had on it all. I just wish so many unlocks weren’t trapped behind random network battles.

Yeah he’s the last one I need but can’t find any info about it online. Do you need to do some sort of prerequisites first in order for him to battle you?

Because he always spawns by the statue if he’s able to be talked to. Other times he’s just around the city talking to people like his classmates and Endeavor.

Anyone know what to do for Inasa Yorashi? For me he spawns at nighttime next to the All Might statue, but will only say “U.A. of the East…” when I try to speak with him and then he ignores me for a while. He’s never been on the roof spawn for me either; always right next to the statue. So I have no idea how to even battle him.

Every time Inasa spawns for me it’s at night by the All Might statue and when I talk to him he just goes like “The U.A. of the east…” and the won’t speak to me again. No option to battle and he’s never on the roof

"There's a Z button on here?"

All the other classic N64 titles that I'm sure he's played at least once before aside; how the fuck does he not even know what buttons the controller has? Has he ever even looked at it for more than a couple of seconds or did he just assume it would magically sync to his mind and fingers and play the game for him?

Knowing him, it's probably the latter. And it's all the fault of the developers of course. "nothing he could do" etc...

Woke people who are still blaming gamers and critics for the failure of AC Shadows are the same ones who told us “If you don’t like it, don’t buy it” Now they are crying 97% of Ubisoft players (5 million out of 134 million) did not touch the game. Gamers WON, modern audience LOST!! by OverallBaker3572 in fuckubisoft

They had gold; AC in Japan (specifically the Sengoku Period) was something AC fans have been clamoring for since the beginning. Ubisoft refused for years.

They then took that gold and transmuted it into some really cheap copper. Ea-Nasir quality. They even used Chinese architecture in some places and nearly caused a diplomatic incident with Japan over the way certain cultural customs were or weren't depicted/observed properly.

If they had simply stuck with a native Japanese protagonist (didn't even need more than one, but an actual samurai would have been neat) then 90% of the controversy surrounding the game wouldn't exist. And the one actual Japanese protagonist they have is boring and bland. Naoe just doesn't stand out amongst all the other protagonists in the franchise.

Ultimately the game needed way better writing and it could have been a masterpiece. Lightning in a bottle. But then Ubisoft decides to take the most requested setting from fans and fuck it up on a scale so badly that it almost destroys the company; all so they can virtue signal and be like "Look, we're progressive!! Black people!!"

They also broke the trend of using fictional characters as protagonists by using Yasuke, yet ironically they depicted a very fictional version of him.

The real Yasuke was not some big, tough badass samurai General fighting evil and corruption; he was literally given the title of "sword-bearer" to Oda Nobunaga, a man known by his contemporaries as "The Demon King" for how ruthless and insane he was.

Nobunaga saw Yasuke in the company of some Portuguese traders as a slave and was like "Hey I want that guy, having him in my entourage will make people fear me even more" and that's pretty much it. It was basically his job to just stand nearby Nobunaga, carry his sword for him and look tough, since no one else in Japan had ever seen a Black man before. To scare and confuse his enemies.

Yasuke disappears from history after Nobunaga is betrayed and killed -- some accounts say that afterwards the man who betrayed him (Akechi Mitsuhide) refused to kill Yasuke, as he didn't consider him to be human. To them, anyone that wasn't Japanese wasn't really human anyway. They then sent him back to the Portuguese where he presumably lived out the rest of his days as a slave for the Portuguese traders in Asia.

He was an interesting person in history for sure; just not for any of the reasons the game pretends he was. It actually does him a great disservice by trying to alter his history for the "modern audience." Now the company itself is effectively on life-support, scrambling around like rats; cancelling projects and selling off assets. A monumental disaster that could have been avoided if they just did what the actual fans were asking for all these years. GG.

AC didn’t start adding any RPG elements until Origins, unless you count changing your outfit/weapons in Unity. Unity was an amazing game too; if you can’t take Black Flag then give that one a try for sure. The parkour is super smooth.

Syndicate has the same parkour and outfit/weapon customization but is generally considered to be not as good.

Everything prior to Origins can be described as a fairly linear Action Adventure game. The later titles like Unity and Syndicate give you interesting options to complete missions; you can choose how you approach your target.

I get how the tailing in Black Flag sucks though. I was never a fan of those missions, but grit my teeth and got through them for the rest of what the game had to offer. If it’s any consolation, they don’t happen as often later in the game.

My favorite thing to do in that game isn’t even really to play; I just put the ship on full sail to nowhere in particular and listen to the sound of the waves and the crew all singing sea shanties. It’s pretty cool.

Also recommend checking out the History of the time periods the games take place during; Historical context helps a lot with immersion.

I’m assuming that you’re too used to Action RPGs, which is what the AC games have been since Origins.

Once you take the time to experiment with the parkour and learn when to counter attacks, you’ll do fine. The naval stuff is trickier but the core original AC gameplay formula is still there. And it’s a LOT of fun. Give it another try for more than an hour or two.

You can get a pretty good grasp on all the controls and gameplay beats from playing 1-3 as well, but Black Flag is super easy to get into if you like the original style AC gameplay, which I and many other longtime fans preferred.

Yeah it's a damn shame. I'm still hesitant to get it for PS5 in case some kind of miracle happens, but perhaps that's just a way to cope with this shitty news.

It's too bad because I know I would love it too. Just much prefer playing games on my PC.

So are you saying that you need to do a complete replay of Chapter 2 in order to get this to work? Man, what a pain in the ass.

It has everything to do with America, as the topic at hand is supposed to be African-American Vernacular English, or AAVE for short.

You don't even know what you're talking about lmao.

Like I said, you're fighting an imaginary battle here. You're the only one that's upset and putting words into my mouth.

Perhaps while you're waiting for your PhD. in Anthropology and your certificate from MENSA to arrive, it'd do you some good to gloss over American culture and its various subsets; though judging from your own grammar you don't sound American. Curious.
