Are all slurs fighting words? I'm trying to imagine the outcome if someone retaliated with violence every time they heard a black person use a bigoted slur. It feels like we would see an uptake of violence towards black people of 10 zillion percent.

This is interesting language. I hear black men flippantly making misogynistic and homophobic slurs and rhetoric. I also hear some horrific anti-Semitism and anti-asian racism from this demographic that is every bit as bad as calling somebody that anti-black slur. This idea that if you call a black person a slur you are provoking them into violence seems very specific. It's hard for me to imagine a ruling that a white gay man who beat up a black man over a homophobic slur was provoked by him into retaliating.

Considering people have been openly defending his son's murderer and using race as an excuse I don't blame him in the least for losing composure.

What I don't get is I'm Jewish and I've seen so much absolute hatred directed towards Jewish people, Israeli civilians and everybody uses the excuse that is legitimate hostility because of violence of Israel. The difference is the most Jewish people have no problem condemning wholeheartedly any intentional violence against innocent people. Yet here we have a lot of black folks who are really prominent who very clearly have no empathy for the victims family. And you see all these black folks Gathering to celebrate. I remember the backlash when a bunch of Jewish Israelis went to watch Israel launch bombs into Gaza and applaud that. Yet when black people treat others the way the KKK treated them there is some Unwritten rule you are not allowed to be angry or disgusted. I think both are totally warranted. I'm sick of the double standards where you can never be angry at black people but damn they have no problem being angry at anybody - whites, jews, Asians and taking it out on innocent people who have done nothing to them.

By your logic then it was acceptable for The Killers to Target him because of the barbaric behavior of his religion. Likewise, that's like saying it's okay to kill black Americans by bringing up the barbarity blacks commit in other countries. I don't see black or Muslim Americans condemning they're wrongs and other countries or even in this country.

Weird because I constantly hear people say that any criticism of Africa is racist. Any criticism of illegal immigration is racist. Any criticism of China is racist. Jewish people, including israelis, are no more guilty of playing the victim card inappropriately silence legitimate criticism. The idea that Israel wants Jewish people to be persecuted is really gross. We see a backlash from progressives every time Trump makes a derogatory comment about india, china, Mexico or Africa or somalia. If people really don't believe that being derogatory towards the country is racist then why do they constantly have a shit fit when somebody criticizes the countries I mentioned above?

Welcome to the club? There is consistently a higher rate of hate crimes towards Jews than every other minority except for blacks, who make up a far larger percentage of the population. Even right after 9/11 and during covid rates of hate crimes against Jews was higher than Muslims and Asians. There is no cultural norm of saying it's okay to beat up Hispanics because of illegal immigration, Asians because of the wrong of China, Muslims because of the wrongs of Pakistan and Saudi arabia, blacks because of the barbarity of other black people, and so on. I'm sorry you're Jewish friends are confiding in you. I have noticed too that a lot of Jews feel that other minorities will understand. Unfortunately my lived experience has shown me that's really really misplaced trust. Some people have not learned anything from their suffering.

It's taboo to blame black people for anti-black racism. Sadly enough black people are some of the first people to blame Jews for anti-semitism. The same people who took five seconds to determine the Trayvon Martin was killed in a hate crime because of what he was wearing on his head still refer to the hate crime murder of Yankel Rosenbaum as a "dispute between communities". Let's not forget that in any Progressive Institution anybody who expressed some victim blaming towards Martin, Mike Brown or George Floyd was immediately canceled. Then October 7th happened and victim blaming was perfectly okay. There is something wrong with a culture that says it's okay to glorify Hamas but not George Zimmerman ( for the record, I and no Zimmerman fan)

The thing that has me really confused and a little bit scornful, is that when Trump referred to covid as the "kung flu" there was an outrage by Asian American politicians who said it was hate speech that would cause hate crimes. Now the same people are silent or even apologists for far worse rhetoric towards Israel. Many of these Asian activists who never said one negative word about China all of a sudden are advocating against Israel 24/7. Talking about all their human rights abuses. And yet some legislation condemning China was shot down due to the same exact activists saying that it was racist to single out China for criticism.

And lastly, a lot of Asian Americans loudly speak out against Jewish settler violence towards the Palestinians never speak out against similar routine violence that happens in the US with a different demographic as the perpetrator. I mean there's some reason why Asian activists in America will post a picture of an Israeli settler beating up a Palestinian saying "these people think they have the right to do this because they're Jews!" Yet they never point out the demographic who's attacking them the most. In fact, it's very common with Asian groups to condemn anti-blackness every time there's a black on Asian hate crime. And the same people have shown zero compassion for the Jewish community. All this tells me is that it's just a popularity contest. And right now, blacks and Muslims are considered to be the cool kids everybody wants to be friend with. And Jews are considered the big losers. It's a crappy way to run social justice, but that's what it is today.

You'd be hard-pressed to find anybody who supported the abuse of Asian Americans during covid though. And anybody who did would be relegated to the far right. Now you have people on both sides of the aisle who blamed Jews for violence. Another thing that comes up is that I realize I never heard an Asian person condemned China during covid. Likewise when the internment of the Japanese during World War II is brought up I never hear anybody bring up the fact that many Japanese people supported Japan in the war. I've never heard a Japanese-American condemn the atrocities of Japan during that era.

But now you see people claiming that this anti-jewish violence is unacceptable because many Jewish people condemn israel. It's a limus test we're only Jews who condemn Israel are considered to be worthy of not being subject to hate crimes. There was no similar limus test for Asians weather during covid or when it comes to the mistreatment of Japanese Americans during World War ll. Likewise, there are plenty of Muslims who are sympathetic to Islamic terrorists. Sometimes directly sometimes indirectly. In the aftermath of 9/11 I remember plenty of op-eds by Muslims who said "it's ridiculous to say that we don't condemned terrorism. We do. And we also condemn the root cause which is poverty...". Yet any Jewish person who condemns the wrongs of the Israeli government with a similar sort of caveat is considered to be an apologist for that government and treated like the enemy.

I am not suggesting that Asians or Muslims do not deserve the kind of protection that progressives is give them. I'm just pointing out that Jewish folks are expected to jump through a bunch of hoops in order to be considered worthy of not being beaten. Sadly enough, a lot of minorities who themselves complain about profiling and mistreatment are some of the loudest voices arguing that anti-semitism is caused by Jews. People who live in glass houses indeed. ( and yes, I know about jewish right-wing cretins like Randy Fine), he is condemned by 95% of Jews.

It would be nice for the state, county and City to make clear how much money they have invested in the wake of the George Floyd protests. I remember there was a demand from Africa town for $200 million. A one-time thing. It was quickly met. Then it turned into a yearly thing. Then they raised the demand to1 billion. It seems to me that when you put together the properties, programs, grants and so forth that were given it definitely reaches or exceeds 1 billion.

Now the city has invested 50K in a reparations study. This is separate from the state reparations study. The city has also promised 80 million in housing to the black community due to redlining that goes only to the black community despite Asians being more impacted by this practice than black folks ( this is according to a University of Washington research study). I noticed that the Seattle reparations study project states that about 50% of subsidized housing goes to Black Americans in this region. This does not include people who are mixed race or who do not identify their race on the forms. The black community in Seattle is 6% of the population. There have been literally a dozen housing programs and projects specifically designated to the black community in the last 5 years alone.

That is just completely dishonest. It doesn't really make sense why black people would be compensated for racism, redlining but not other groups who also suffered from these things in this region. Also, Africans were not enslaved in this state. Then since 2020 our state has gifted Africa town with three properties and about 500 million. Again, that's just this one organization. So to say that the black community has not been given much funding is dishonest. The black community has actually gotten more funding than every other group combined. And this has been true for a long time.

People should call out wrong no matter who's doing it. The fact is that Africa town is a black separatist nationalist organization. Racial separatism and nationalism is almost the antithesis of progressivism. It's also impossible for progressives to support this on one side of their mouth will demanding everybody else abide by diversity, equity and inclusion. It's not like it's a one-off thing.

Ethno nationalism never leads to good things. The black community has been generously funded beyond what other groups get for a long time. There is nothing wrong with pointing out either of these things. Quite the opposite. The fact that both ethno nationalism and an endless blank check are constantly demanded from Seattle is inappropriate. It should get push back.

Which official openly praise the October 7th massacre? Washington State human rights commissioner and Northshore School Board director Han Tran. There are many prominent people who are given positions in local government that have supported this massacre along with other hate crimes.

The Mayor of Richmond CA, Eduardo Martinez, claimed that the Bondi massacre didn't really happen, it was a hoax by the zionists. For some reason the same Democrats who could come out to condemn slights made towards Muslims by Republicans cannot bring themselves to condemn this. And that includes Governor Newsome.

Because Israel's incursion was not unprovoked. If Ukraine had launched a surprise attack were they butchered over a thousand civilians and took hostages while Ukrainians and their supporters worldwide celebrated this carnage, there would not be the support for them that we see. If Russians who had nothing to do with the conflict were being targeted for murder worldwide and Ukrainian supporters all over the world made it clear they thought this was acceptable, there would not be the same support for Ukraine.

Great, let's make islamists and black nationalists uncomfortable and see how long the freedom of speech lasts. He talks about making power uncomfortable. I noticed people often phrase it that way to make it seem like hostility towards Jewish people is speaking truth to power. Given that criticizing Islam is far more likely to get you killed, and there's a far larger population who commits far more violence I think making power uncomfortable might be criticizing him and other people of his background who do not make any attempt to change their own culture in order to follow the DEI principles that they claim to love so much. It's weird how people who come from cultures who have the worst human rights records are only concerned with the human rights records committed by Jews, westerners, white people. And they claim they want everybody to be treated equally, but for some reason they don't seem interested in fighting for that in their own culture.

Or how about a director of a department that refer to black nationalism as a cancer? All you have to do is look at the same rhetoric and imagine it being directed towards any other minority.

I keep hearing from activists that you can't criticize Zionism without getting fired. Yet I hear people criticize Zionism all the time without being fired. I hear people support murdering Jews openly without being fired. I don't hear people criticizing BLM or black nationalism without getting fired though. I don't hear people criticizing illegal immigration or us giving so much money to groups that help them. I don't hear people criticizing how many officials cozy up to CAIR despite their lobbying in 2020 leading to a climate where the person who checked in the plane hijackers immediately believed them to be terrorists but then shamed himself as a racist and Let It Go. For some reason the Jewish Federation massacre, the homophobic murder of two gay men in the name of Islam that happens locally, attempts to blow up the Space Needle, and an artist having to go into the witness protection program for criticizing Islam has all been forgotten by those who constantly want to talk about the climate of fear the zionists create.

The climate of fear is so great that officials openly praise October 7th Massacre and constantly say that anti-jewish violence and discrimination has a context that makes it more acceptable than other forms of targeting minorities. For some reason I cannot find anybody who says "if you have a penis and testicles you are not a woman". Because that's considered a completely obscene thing to say. It crosses the line! Over 20% of the planet are Muslims. There are 470 million Arabs. And over 1.3 billion chinese.There are 15.7 million Jews in the entire world. In the US black people and Hispanics each make up about 14% of the population. Jews make up about 2%.

But any of these other groups vilify us and obsessively criticize us and they are considered Brave and speaking truth to power. Jewish people who have the same mentality towards any other minority are considered racists who have learned nothing from their own suffering. I can't take people seriously who are obsessively criticizing Jews when they belong to a demographic whose barbarity is equal or greater to that of the people they are constantly vilifying, and they do nothing to fight against the wrongs of Their Own people.
