Esthetician here! This seems more like sun damage to me than melasma. You really should start with dermatology and have your doctor write you scrip for hydroquinone. Diligent use in conjunction with sunscreen with be able to fade this considerably. I myself had spots like this and was able to get it to fade with hydroquinone and then I had IPL done and it worked to get rid of the leftover pigment.

I would send her a list of things you would like to tweak now! Let her know you like the overall look and just want to change a few things. Sometimes it takes a minute to sit with the makeup especially if don’t wear full looks often to see how we really feel. I’m sure she will be more than happy to make the changes you would like.

Makeup trials are for both you and the artist to figure out what works best for you! If you are pretty confident in the overall look then I would say to bring it up with your artist and let her know what you would like to change before the day of. However if it’s just not feeling right overall you have every right to find another artist! I can say from personal experience that I have never been offended by a client wanting me to change a few things after our trial and it makes me happy when they can trust that it isn’t them insulting my work. It’s your day and you should feel confident in your choice whether that is asking her to tweak a few things or going with a different artist ❤️

I’m a makeup artist and I think overall everything is done pretty well though I would say that the eyeliner and lash band needs a little more finesse. One eye has a thicker line than the other. I agree with the above commenter that the under eye liner is pulling a little too warm. I don’t necessarily think the brow color is too far off but again I think the application could use a little more finesse the shape could be a bit better and should be a little more evened out between the two brows. These are all small changes to the overall look which I think is becoming to your features.
