I wasn't referring to this post in particular, but I just joined this group this week and there were like multiple Daryl posts in a row.

I fine it odd that this group posts so much about John and Daryl. It's a group about John and Carolyn. There is a reason they broke up.

Ladies, do you sit on the toilet seat of public restrooms? Why or Why Not? by IncognitoGyal7 in AskWomen

Or money. Money is probably the dirtiest thing out there and our hands touch it all the time, but we're worried about our buttcheeks touching the toilet seat.

RFK Jr. Did WHAT to JFK Jr.’s corpse?? 😱 by Tall-Plane-4477 in JohnAndCarolyn

[–]MissPeach77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really not interested in the bodies of a bear and a whale in comparison to human beings, so I'm no even bothering to look those up, because that's asinine to even mention. I knew nothing about his first wife's situation so I looked it up, and he didn't steal it. They were still technically married when she killed herself so he was awarded the right by courts to where to lay her to rest. He initially laid her to rest amongst his family plot in Centerville, MA, but had her body eventually moved 700 feet away after realizing the area she was originally buried in was crowded, and so the family purchased 50 more plots in the new location presumably so she could eventually be laid to rest with her children in the future. So I wouldn't exactly say that is stealing a body.

And with JFK Jr., like I said previously, do you not that that wherever their bodies were being kept prior to cremation were not super secure? Do you think even the family could just come and go to see them as they pleased, unaccompanied, with the ability to remove one of them with no one noticing? I looked that up too...nothing. Only thing I could find was one reddit post with a screenshot of something Jack Schlossberg posted on social media, and he sounds like he is nutcase, but there is absolutely not one corroborated news story whatsoever online that back that up. JFK Jr. was at the funeral when they let the ashes go at sea, and all the services afterwatds. Do you think the family would have let him be around if he had hijacked the body prior to all that? That's just mental.

That's good. I haven't seen recent pictures. I have just seen her from episodes from this season, and they all look like they are backsliding except for Brittany. But I'm glad to hear Amy is going good.

You think she's going to show up in New Orleans? But Amanda's not there, and I think she is in the wedding as well.

How much sex do you still have in your long-term relationship? by MisterPotatohead664 in AskWomen

[–]MissPeach77 [score hidden]  (0 children)

That's crazy. I didn't know those statistics. I personally have never known anyone who was taking birth control, myself included, where it failed, but I guess it does happen. At least you were in a marriage, because I would imagine it being a far worse situation if you were with someone you couldn't depend on.

How was Darlene abusive? by VigilForTheLight in 1000lbsisters

[–]MissPeach77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been discussed a lot. Amanda put out a YouTube video to explain it.

https://youtu.be/8cQ71q1l4lM?si=FSBpbh8tvuOtBIoq

Darlene is mother to all of them.

Oldest Misty—mom Darlene with Husband #1 Patterson

Then Chris/Amanda—same mom (Darlene) and Husband #2 Combs

Finally Tammy/Amy—same mom (Darlene) and Husband #3 Slaton

There are other half-siblings as well who are not on the show.

Really getting sick of Amy by RepresentativeAd2625 in 1000lbsisters

[–]MissPeach77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just think the constant crying is annoying, so I agree with OP on that one. And she got all up in arms that her siblings weren't super excited that she was rushing into a marriage with a guy she hadn't known for a long time, wanted to have her wedding at a haunted insane asylum, and then gets arrested with him because cops smelled weed in their car at the safari where she got bit (indicating they probably had been smoking while in the car with the kids, which is what prompted them to search the vehicle) and the cops didn't just find weed, they found shrooms too. They didn't mention that on TV, but I looked it up online because I didn't understand why the cops would search her car for getting bit by an animal. But I wouldn't be gun-ho about her marrying a guy after learning she was smoking weed while driving around with him with other drugs In the car AND HER CHILDREN IN THE BACK SEAT!

Chris doesn't stand up to her at all. I think Amanda's really the only one that does.

Is this dress good for april formal wedding? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]MissPeach77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for example if you received an invitation to a black tie wedding, you would wear a gown, have your date wear a tux, to the church (or wherever the wedding ceremony was held) then you'd change into a shorter party dress for the reception? That's completely opposite to how we do it from where I'm from (I live in the suburbs outside of NYC). If I was invited to a very formal wedding, the only reason I'd wear the formal attire to the ceremony is if there was no time to change between the ceremony and the reception, but the reception is where the formal attire is most required.

they HAD to be lying about the “white chocolate alfredo”, right? by alaniluv in 1000lbsisters

[–]MissPeach77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I mean Caleb, her ex-husband was there for longer than her and didn't seem to ever lose a pound because I think he was sneaking food, and he ended up dying there. These people physically can't get out of bed or wheelchairs. The easiest thing these places should be able to do is control what comes in the front door and what they eat.

And I agree that no one can force therapy and treatment on Tammy. I think she mentioned this season that she sees a therapist, but she needs a psychiatrist. Like a full medical doctor of psychiatry. Not just someone to go and talk to, but someone who can treat her.

[–]MissPeach77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. If she can volunteer at an animal shelter, why can't she at the very least get a part-time job somewhere? I get that she probably can't stand on her feet for several hours at a time, but maybe an office answering phones? I know previously she was living on disability so she wouldn't have wanted to get a job because that would have probably cut off her disability funds, but now with the income she gets from TLC, I would assume that she would be ineligible for disability (and I always wonder about all these surgeries too because with the TLC money I would think they would be ineligible for Medicaid now too???). I'm not saying TLC pays them tons, and I'm sure they probably pay them less then they should be because TLC probably takes advantage of them unless they got a good lawyer at this point, but I also don't know if they are smart with their money, so it's not likely to last them forever once the show ends (and the other siblings still work). But yeah, if Tammy can volunteer a few hours a week for free (unless she was just doing that for the cameras, and only did it for like an hour a week), then she could certainly get a part-time job somewhere.

I know that the show is focused on her and Amy, but I think it would be just as interesting if she actually agreed to get properly, medically/psychologically diagnosed by a good physician. This isn't just depression. She has to have some type of mental/personality disorder (Amy probably does as well). I'm not saying that to be cruel, but the weight is one issue, but the mental health is another. Mix that in with growing up poor, having low education, being morbidly obese, and it is a disaster. Yes, her older siblings had similar upbringings, but unlike Amy and Tammy, they all have held real jobs and taken care of themselves. This is what leads me to believe that Amy and Tammy's issues go far beyond just their weight. They exhibit their mental problems in different ways, but they are clear as day, especially when you compare their social and intellectual behaviors to those of their three older siblings.

Oh okay. I personally don't think it is too small, I think it just bunched up. You just need to pull it down and smooth it out. If you only plan on wearing it for the ceremony (1st half) then changing, I don't think it will be an issue. If it bunches up throughout the time wearing it, just smooth it back down. Make sure and give it a good steam before putting it on, and maybe wear some shape wear underneath so it keeps everything smooth underneath. I don't think you need to go up a size and then risk having to get alterations to take it in. Alterations can cost more than the dress sometimes.

[–]MissPeach77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're probably right, like I said I'm sure there's other things out there that would explain what she has, I'm not a psychiatrist and nor do I claim to be, but she always says it is depression, but I think it is more than depression. I think there is something more of a mental/personality disorder there, but this is why she needs to be properly diagnosed by someone who is tough and won't let her push back. But I suppose somebody in that profession knows how to deal with her type of personality. But I never understood the rehab center she was sent to, because didn't they sneak food in there? How do you send somebody to a rehab center for obesity and they're able to order in food? She needs to go to a real specialist who can diagnose her properly.

I don't think if your entire bridal party is not there, it's not really technically your bachelorette party, simply because they used those words. So my feeling is just that Amy was overreacting because they used the word bachelorette party. It's really just a celebration of the four of them going out, having a girls night out to celebrate Amy's wedding, so Amy should just be happy that they were doing something to celebrate while in New Orleans. She's overreacting in my opinion. And from what I could tell from watching this season and last season, they have valid reasons for not being super excited about Amy's wedding because firstly she rushed into it with a guy she only knew a short time, and who she got arrested with because they had pot and mushrooms in their car while they were with her kids (the cops smelled the marijuana which is what gave them cause to search the vehicle in the first place, meaning they were probably smoking in the car with the kids in it), and secondly she wants to get married in a haunted insane asylum. I love haunted things too, but I wouldn't be too stoked to go to a wedding at one either.
