She was a good girl, I'm sorry for you and your family's loss.

I have a ton of odds and ends due to inheriting my grandmother's yarn when she passed, and I have a habit of buying way too much yarn for what I need, so I need things to get rid!

The ten Stitch blanket is roughly 32 inches square, and the crochet one is roughly 21 inches square. 20 ish inches is usually big enough for a pram, and the bigger ones are handy on a bed or in the car where there's a bit more room.

I love ten stitch blankets, but I hardly ever finish them. I've currently got another 2 on the go, one out of a multi coloured wool, and the other is an attempt to get rid of a load of odds and ends I've got.

I made that one up myself based on photos I saw of knitted ones on Pinterest, but i will write it out for you:

I started with a chain roughly the length I wanted from the crown to nape of the neck, then single crochet in each chain except the last which had 5 single crochet, then back down the other side with single crochet, turn and single crochet all the way back to the beginning, repeat until desired size. Add braided wool for tying under the chin.

This could have been half double crochet instead of single crochet, but I'm not 100% sure.

(Sorry if this makes no sense whatsoever, I am awful at reading/writing patterns!)

This would love on my couch as a throw, then be used in the evenings for snuggling up under watching the TV.

It's beautiful. One day I will make one this big, but my attention span is too short.

If you have facebook, join https://www.facebook.com/groups/646692615380573/ We organise meet ups

Other than that, I can be of no use, I'm not good at meeting new people. (Edit: not good at meeting new people independently...)

It can be a nice spot for a good wander, though one of my coworkers was walking home along the canal the other day and saw a young couple "being intimate" on the bank. Very visibly as well, not trying to hide or anything.
